Rush Limbaugh Is A Recklessly Rancid Repeat Racist

Rush Limbaugh is “THE VOICE” of conservative talk radio. He has held that dubious distinction since about 1984. He has also been an ignorant outspoken racist for at least that long.

Limbaugh is not a very well educated man. He flunked out of Southeast Missouri State University after only two semesters and one summer session. To date, he has no college degree. As evidence of his lack of commitment and self control, he has also been married four times and is an admitted drug addict. In short, Rush Limbaugh has all the qualifications one would require to influence a large and similarly dysfunctional audience of illiterates that anxiously wait for his next command. Remember “Operation Chaos”?

Rush Limbaugh is also a blatant racist. He resigned under pressure in 2003 after only a very brief stint co-hosting ESPN‘s “Sunday NFL Countdown” after he claimed that quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed. (BTW, McNabb is still playing professional football). Later, he talked about football once again when he said, “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons”. Limbaugh also once referred to New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner as a “cracker who made African-Americans millionaires”.  Remember when he said, “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies”? How about when he told an African American female caller to his show to, “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back”? The examples of Limbaugh’s racism go on and on but we will leave the rest of his past offenses for another time.

For now, let’s concentrate on what he said last week. To no one’s surprise, Limbaugh accompanied a rant about how Barack Obama’s presidency is “graffiti on the walls of American history” with both a reference to Obama’s “gang” and an illustration of a “tagged” Mount Rushmore on his website.

Here are Rush Limbaugh’s exact words:

This guy is an utter wrecking ball all by himself on the world stage to the point now of getting embarrassing.  This presidency of Obama’s, it doesn’t take much to irritate the left. Try this:  “Barack Obama’s presidency is graffiti on the walls of American history.”  That’s what his administration is.  No more than graffiti on the walls of American history.  We have a juvenile delinquent for a president who has ruined so much public and private property, not even his gang is making much of an effort here to protect him.  It’s an utter disaster..

Racist enough for you?

Today’s song parody deals with Limbaugh’s drug addiction. He used to enjoy spouting off about the necessity of drug offenders receiving stiff jail sentences. That all changed, however, in 2006 when he surrendered to Palm Beach County (Florida) officials on charges of doctor shopping as the result of his own drug addiction to oxycodone and hydrocodone. He did everything within his power to avoid just such a sentence. Speaking of stiff sentences, let’s not forget that in June of 2006 he was detained by drug enforcement officials at Palm Beach International Airport when he attempted to bring a bottle of Viagra (the prescription was in somebody else’s name, by the way) into the country after his island vacation with a bunch of men.

THE HO HO SONG

(sung to the Ringo Starr song “The No No Song”)

A doctor that I know just came from the pharmacy
He smiled at Rush and opened up his hand
Then he held out some Oxycontin tablets
He said they were the finest in the land

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My back is feeling really damn sore
If I say please
Can I have more of these
My habit has become really hardcore

A friend of Rush Limbo who wears a hat made of tin
Came on the show and opened up his hand
When he revealed twelve tablets of Vicodin
Rush was so happy he performed handstands

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
I always come to you for a score
Without more of these
I’m in a cold-turkey freeze
And ditto-heads need someone to adore

(hallucination break)

A ditto-head I know said he could make organs grow
He smiled and said Rush would not need his hand
Then he gave him some blue Viagra pills, Oh
And said that things will rise upon command

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My love life has become such a chore
Please, pretty please
I’m flying overseas
The boys there like it when it hits the floor

Yes, Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
I just love the drug store
Painkillers, Viagra and much more
It’s such a tease
All of those varieties
I’ll grab a bunch and head right out the door.

Revisionist Right-Wingers Fail To Mention Obama

If you were to believe the quotes of so many conservative right-wingers, you would think that President Barack Obama had absolutely nothing to do with the May 1, 2011 eradication of 9/11 mastermind terrorist Osama bin Laden. Many members of the GOP, including a good number of presidential hopefuls, have performed amazing acts of linguistic contortion so as to avoid mentioning the fact that President Obama is responsible for ordering the successful mission in which bin Laden was killed. Conservative political pundits have taken the same approach in an attempt to avoid that 800 pond gorilla in the room. These folks somehow praise everybody without even mentioning the current president. With all this revisionism, one might think that the conservatives are a little jealous that a Democratic Party president achieved in 2.5 years what Republican war-hawk George W. Bush could not achieve in over 7 years. Here are some examples of how they are ignoring Barack Obama’s role as Commander in Chief:

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN):  “I want to express my deepest gratitude to the men and women of the U.S. military and intelligence community. Their persistence and dedicated service has yielded success in a mission that has gripped our nation since the terrible events of 9/11. Tonight’s news does not bring back the lives of the thousands of innocent people who were killed that day by Osama bin Laden’s horrific plan, and it does not end the threat posed by terrorists, but it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end of Sharia-compliant terrorism.”

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum:  “This is extraordinary news for all freedom loving people of the world, and I commend all those involved for this historic triumph. Americans have waited nearly ten years for the news of Osama bin Laden’s death. And while this is a very significant objective that cannot be minimized, the threat from Jihadism does not die with bin Laden. As we were vigilant in taking him out we need to demonstrate we will continue to be vigilant until the enemy has been subdued.”

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus:  “Today is a tremendous day for our nation and the world, but most importantly those who lost loved ones on that horrific day,” said Priebus. “Justice was delivered to a ruthless terrorist courtesy of men and women of the United States military. For nearly a decade, literally thousands of American service members, intelligence officers and civilians have made it their mission to capture or kill the mastermind of September 11th. Tonight we honor their work and congratulate them on a job well done.”

Failed 2008 Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee:  “It has taken a long time for this monster to be brought to justice. Welcome to hell, bin Laden. Let us all hope that his demise will serve notice to Islamic radicals the world over that the United States will be relentless in tracking down and terminating those who would inflict terror, mayhem and death on any of our citizens.”

Failed 2008 Candidate For Vice President and Quitting Half-Term Gov. of Alsaka, Sarah Palin:  “Yesterday was a testament to the military’s dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war, and we thank our president. … We thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory.”

Radio Host and Drug Addicted Racist Rush Limbaugh: (Sarcastically said) “President Obama – not a single intelligence adviser, not a single national security adviser, not a single military adviser came up with the idea of using Seal Team Six or any of the Special Forces. Our military wanted to go in there and just scorch the Earth leaving no evidence of anything after the mission. But President Obama single-handedly understood what was at stake here. He alone understood the need to get DNA. To prove the death, Obama alone understood the aftermath, alone understood that there would be doubting Thomases if the place was just obliterated and no evidence was to be found.”

Fox News: The Republican propaganda network broadcasted the following headline, “Obama Bin Laden Dead”.

All of this simply proves that there are some really strange ones on the right.

STRANGE ONES ON THE RIGHT

(sung to the Frank Sinatra song “Strangers In The Night”)

Strange ones on the right,
Fox News romancers
Not so very bright,
With our finances
This Tea Party love
Should be viewed as taboo

Palin shouting lies
And fear inciting
Rand Paul is hostile
And so damn frightening
Boehner has no heart
McConnell has no clue

Strange ones on the right,
Abnormal people
They are strange ones on the right
Not one sane moment
They should be in a freak-show
Little do they know
It would just enhance our day
If like Bristol they’d dance away and –

On Fox every night,
They’re all together
Lovers on the right
In love forever
It’s an ugly sight
Those strange ones on the right

(witchcraft break)

Don’t look now just glance away
Here comes their jailbird Tom Delay

You can join their fight
And hang together
Only if you’re white
Birds of a feather
Taking their last flight
Those strange ones on the right

Low-Life Limbaugh Mocks Japanese Quake Victims

If there is any substance to the Buddhist theory of karma (i.e. a person’s words and actions will affect his future fate), then right-wing radio blowhard Rush Limbaugh has a lot to worry about. A few days ago ABC News aired a segment featuring Diane Sawyer in which Ms. Sawyer commented that despite the fact they were reduced to living in a refugee camp as the result of last week’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, the Japanese continued to recycle their trash. Limbaugh then mocked the Japanese people and environmentalists for their actions.

Limbaugh of course,  is not a very well educated man. He flunked out of Southeast Missouri State University after only two semesters and one summer session. To date, he has no college degree. As evidence of his lack of commitment and self control, he has also been married four times and is an admitted drug addict.

Limbaugh is also a blatant racist.

For now, let’s concentrate on Limbaugh’s latest atrocity; mocking the Japanese quake victims. The situation occurred when a person called into Limbaugh’s radio show and asked,

“I need some of your wisdom. I’m confused. At the top of the first hour, you played a clip. Diane Sawyer, I believe, about the recycling that is still going on in Japan. If these are the people that invented the Prius, have mastered public transportation, recycling, why did mother earth, Gaia if you will, hit them with this disaster.”

Limbaugh responded,
“Did I really hear this? Did I really hear — Diane Sawyer is in a refugee camp in Japan. My god, she sounds like she saw her husband for the first time in six months there. Oh, it’s recycling, look, organized for — these people are in the midst of earthquake devastation and the credit they’re getting is for recycling and our caller Chris with a great question. The Japanese have done so much to save the planet. He’s right. They’ve given us the Prius. Even now, refugees are still recycling their garbage, and yet Gaia levels them [laughs], just wipes them out. Wipes out their nuclear plants, all kinds of radiation. What kind of payback is this? That is an excellent question. They invented the Prius. In fact, where Gaia blew up is right where they make all these electric cars. That’s where the tsunami hit. All those brand new electric cars sitting there on the lot. I like the way this guy was thinking. It’s like — it’s like Gaia hit the Prius in [inaudible]. It’s like they were in the cross-hairs, if we can use that word, it does. What is Gaia trying to tell us here? What is the mother of environmentalism trying to say with this hit? Great observation out there, Chris”
How’s that for an example of inhumane insensitivity? Rather than commend the distraught victims of this horrible tragedy for their steadfast commitment to preserving the environment despite their predicament, Limbaugh chose to kick them while they are down by implying that mother earth punished the Japanese people for earth-saving measures. If there is such a thing as karma, Rush Limbaugh best keep looking over his shoulder.
By the way, will Limbaugh ever keep his promise to move to Costa  Rica? It has now been more than a year a since he promised to move there if ObamaCare was passed into law. Apparently that was just another Limbaugh lie.

TALKING TURD

(sung to the Carly Simon/James Taylor song “Mockingbird”)

Talk (yeah) ing (yeah) turd (yeah)
Yeah (yeah)
Talking Turd

Now, everybody sure has heard
Rush Limbaugh the big fat talking turd
That loudmouth talking turd is king
Of all those racists in the right-wing
But those in the right-wing front line
Are busy planning for their next hate crime
And that’s why I keep on tellin’ everybody
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

Hear me now and understand
Rush lives only to hate and malign
And if ratings decline someday
Limbaugh will spread hate in another way
And if that other way makes dough
He’ll ride with the tide and go with the flow
And that’s why I keep on shoutin’ in your ear
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

(Oxy Contin Break)

Now, everyone should doubt his word
Rush Limbaugh is just a talking turd
And when that talking turd does sing
We can tell he’s just a ding-a-ling
And when that ding-a-ling just whines
Yes, Republicans will still think he shines
And there’s a reason why I keep on tellin’ everybody
Say yeah, yeah no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

Listen now and understand
Rush Limbaugh surely has lost his mind
And though he drugged his mind away
The right-wing nuts still listen everyday
Like Sarah Palin and that Plumber, Joe
He’s a dead fish that just “goes with the flow”
And that’s the reason why he keeps on spreadin’ all that fear
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, now, now, baby

Murdoch Tells Beck To Get The Fox Outta Here

The New York Times reports that moonbat-crazy Glenn Beck may be told to pack up his things and leave Fox News-Ville in December when his contract with the propaganda network expires.

Beck has lost more than a third of his audience since last August and it is easy to see why. He is having a mental breakdown on a nightly basis before our very eyes. His television stage-set resembles the hidden away attic classroom of an addle-minded tenured professor who has been reduced to spewing unintelligible gibberish and writing inane code on a blackboard in front of which there are no longer any sane students. His conspiracy theories are so wildly imaginative and unrealistic that even the other Fox hosts such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity steer well clear of all things Beckian. Simply stated, Glenn beck has become a raving lunatic and a liability to Fox News.

Glenn Beck’s steady fall from grace began in 2009 when he proclaimed that President Barack Obama has a “deep-seated hatred for white people”. That remark caused such a public backlash that that over 300 advertisers pulled their commercials from his program. Virtually his only remaining sponsors are gold-hawking economic doomsayers. The resultant startling loss of advertising revenue was not something the Fox network enjoyed. Soon thereafter, Beck began to describe wacky conspiracies involving socialists, communists, leftists and Muslims all joining forces to infiltrate the Obama administration and then take down the world. Honestly, even Austin Powers’ arch enemy, the sinister Dr. Evil, could not come up with something that devilish.

Fox executives should have realized that Beck spelled trouble from the very beginning. He has no formal education or work experience in the world of politics. Glenn Beck’s college career consisted of ONE COURSE, not one semester mind you, but one course. His radio background consisted of merely a bunch of shock-jock jobs with a number of different stations. Add to that his history of alcohol and drug abuse, and you have a recipe for some kind of on-air nervous breakdown. That is exactly what we and Beck’s bosses are witnessing at the moment. It is obvious that the network wants to rid itself of Beck’s huge salary and distance itself from his meltdown as soon as possible. For Fox News, December 2011 cannot come soon enough.

GLENN BECK’S SIMPLY LOST HIS MIND

(sung to the Willie Nelson song “You Were Always On My Mind”)

Glennie, we didn’t love you
Quite as often as we could have
Still, our goal is to defeat you
Cut your audience in half

Limbaugh makes you feel second best
It is him you are behind
Glenn, you’ve simply lost your mind
Glenn, you’ve simply lost your mind

And maybe Fox should’ve told you
Your show is a waste of time
All those folks that you sell gold to
Would do best to keep their dimes

Crazy things that you have said and done
Show a brain that’s in decline
Glenn, you’ve simply lost your mind
Glenn, you’ve simply lost your mind

Glenn B.
Tell us some more big outrageous lies
Silly
Silly conspiracies made-up in your mind
You should be tranquilized

(crying break)

Crazy things that you have said and done
Show a brain that’s in decline
Beck has simply lost his mind
Beck has simply lost his mind
Beck has simply lost his mind
Beck has simply lost his mind

Lynnrockets’ Political Oscar Night Recap

John Boehner thanks the Academy

What with all the attention focused on Hollywood last night, you might not have noticed that the City of Boston held the 235th annual Political Oscars. The storied event was held on the U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) in Boston Harbor so that the Tea Partiers in the audience would feel at home. Prior to the ceremony, the nominees were paraded along the famous Freedom Trail past such historic sites as America’s first voucher-less public school, Paul Revere’s home, the site of the Boston Massacre and the Bunker Hill Monument. As they boarded Old Ironsides, they were pelted with tea-bags before they took their seats on the poop-deck. The event was not widely seen on television because all of America’s lamestream media networks were covering the “other” more popular pageant in LA. Thankfully, Al Jazeera did cover the event.

And the winners were…

Best Female Violent Rhetoric: Failed Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sharron “2nd Amendment Remedies” Angle

– Runner-up: Reality TV host Sarah Palin – “It’s time to reload”

Best Male Violent Rhetoric: Fox News host and self-described “rodeo clown” Glenn Beck who said, “I want to kill Charlie Rangel with a shovel”

– Runner-up: Failed Arizona Republican Congressional candidate Jesse Kelly who, while running against Gabrielle Giffords, held a fund-raising event that was advertised as “Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly”

Best Female Fictitious Memoir: Reality TV host Sarah Palin for her “America By Heart” wherein the self-professed founding fathers-lover wrote, on page 189,  about the opinions of Founding Father John Adams, including his famous quotation, “we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion.”   Her mistake is not in her analysis of the importance of faith to John Adams.  No, her error came in claiming that he had been a “leading participant at the Constitutional Convention.” The reality is that John Adams did not participate in the Constitutional Convention. He was Ambassador to Great Britain at the time.

– Runner-up: Condoleeza Rice’s “Extraordinary, Ordinary People” because it fails to mention a single thing about the run-up to the invasion of iraq.

Best Male Fictitious Memoir: George W. Bush who quoted in “Decision Points”, Gerhard Schröder (then German Chancellor),  as having said of the run-up to the Iraq invasion, “What is true of Afghanistan is true of Iraq. Nations that sponsor terror must face consequences. If you make it fast and make it decisive, I will be with you.” Bush then wrote, “I took that as a statement of support. But when the German election arrived later that year, Schröder had a different take. He denounced the possibility of force against Iraq.” Schröder however has had this to say about Bush, “Just as I did during my subsequent meetings with the American president, I made it clear that, should Iraq … prove to have provided protection and hospitality to al-Qaida fighters, Germany would reliably stand beside the US. This connection, however, as it became clear during 2002, was false and constructed.”

– Runner-up: Donald Rumsfeld’s “Known and Unknown” in which he wrote, “Powell was not duped or misled by anybody. Nor did he lie about Saddam’s suspected WMD stockpiles. The president did not lie. The vice president did not lie. (CIA Director George) Tenet did not lie. Rice did not lie. I did not lie. . . . The far less dramatic truth is that we were wrong.” ‘Nuff said.

Best Republican Propaganist (TV): Fox News

Best Republican Propagandist (Radio): Rush Limbaugh

Best Tan: Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner (pronounced “boner”)

– Runner-up: President Barack Obama

Most Creepy Sex Scandal: Todd “First Dude” Palin for having sex with the same prostitute that wife Sarah Palin frequented for massages

– Runner-up: Former married GOP Rep. Chris Lee from New York for posting an eerie shirtless Craigslist ad allegedly searching for both female and transsexual sex partners

Biggest Lie Of The Year 2010: PolitiFact editors and reporters have chosen “government takeover of health care” as the 2010 Lie of the Year. Said Jonathan Oberlander, a professor of health policy at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill:  “The label ‘government takeover” has no basis in reality, but instead reflects a political dynamic where conservatives label any increase in government authority in health care as a ‘takeover.’ ”

– Runner-up: Moonbat-crazy Teapublican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (MN) claim that Obama was going to spend $200 million a day on a trip to India.

Most Racist State: Arizona, for its unconstitutional “Show me your papers” law

State Which Spends Least Per Pupil On Education: Arizona

Highest Profile Employer of Illegal Immigrants: Failed GOP gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman of California

– Runner-up: Failed GOP presidential candidate Mitt(wit) Romney of Massachusetts

Most Chaste Politician: Failed GOP senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell of Delaware who does not masturbate

– First runner-up: Former ex-quitting half-term Republican governor of Alaska Sarah Palin who’s husband allegedly gets his action from her masseuse

– Second Runner-up: Bristol Palin, the former unwed pregnant teen and single mother who now preaches abstinence

Most Unlikely Presidential Candidate: Republican Donald Trump who would lead this nation out of the worst economic downturn since the great depression with the knowledge and skill he acquired after having filed for bankruptcy on at least four occasions

– Runner-up: Sarah Palin, who said on her failed un-reality television program that she’d rather be in Alaska “than in some stuffy old political office.”

It was a truly memorable night and after all the awards were handed out, the winners and runner-ups all accompanied Master of Ceremonies Charley Sheen down to Boston’s notorious red-light district “The Combat Zone” for more fun and frolic!

PROUD TO BE A REPUBLICAN

(sung to the Lee Greenwood song “God Bless The U.S.A.”)

If tomorrow all my brains were gone
And I was just plant life
With a feeding tube shoved in
Against the wishes of my wife
I’d thank my lucky stars the G.O.P. had their way
And curtailed my family’s freedom
Made them watch me waste away

Boy, I’m proud to be a Republican
Like Huckabee and Romney
And I won’t forget Glenn Beck who cried
Right there on Fox TV
Cuz they’ll gladly stand up next to you
And berate your union pay
I just love those hate filled flames they fan
They hate the U.S.A.

Bachmann hates in Minnesota
Alaska has Sarah P.
Rick Perry down in Texas
They’re in the Tea Party
Not Detroit nor in Boston
Too liberal, black and gay
There’s no soul in any Republican heart
And they love it just that way

Yes, I’m proud to be a Republican
Just like Rush and Hannity
And I love the facts they do deny
Right there on Fox TV
And I’ll gladly stand up next to you
And castigate Tina Fey
Cuz I never doubt those Red State men
No matter what they say

Oh, I’m proud to be a Republican
As I sit here sipping tea
Palin’s “death panels” can’t be denied
They say on Fox TV
Sarah sends a Twitter –  text to you
Six or seven times a day
It’s Republicans that love this land
In our per-ver-ted way!

Limbaugh Adds To The Atrocious Attacks Against Michelle Obama

The radical right-wing pundits must be at a total loss when it comes to things to be outraged about lately. How else to explain their recent rash of ridiculous rants against First Lady Michelle Obama’s initiative to reduce childhood obesity?

Like many First Ladies before her, Michelle Obama has seized her bully pulpit to help advance a worthy cause. Here are a few examples:

Ellen Wilson: Improving urban housing for blacks and immigrants
Lady Bird Johnson: Re-foresting
Rosalynn Carter: Addressing mental health issues
Nancy Reagan: “Just Say No” campaign against drug abuse
Laura Bush: Encouraging childhood reading

All of those initiatives were worthy of praise and welcomed by the public. Why then have radical right-wing pundits chosen to vilify Michelle Obama’s attempts to reduce childhood obesity which has been scientifically proven to increase adult sickness and disease and consequently pressure the already overburdened health-care system? The answer is simple. She is Michelle Obama, the wife of President Barack Obama. You see, the GOP, the Tea Party and right-wing pundits have a policy of opposing anything and everything proposed by the Obama administration regardless of merit.

Think about that for a moment. In 2009 they criticized Obama for failing to aggressively deal with the Somalian pirates that attacked an American vessel and kidnapped the ship’s captain. The conservatives claimed that Obama was weak on defense. Yet when Obama’s forces killed the pirates and rescued the captain, the right-wing claimed that Obama used excessive force against youthful perpetrators. Teapublicans railed against the 2009 stimulus package which provided billions of dollars to states that were suffering during the worst economic downturn since the great depression. Despite their opposition however, they gladly took credit for the pork that they brought back to their districts when those stimulus funds were delivered. Remember all those Republican governors, representatives and senators posing with those poster-sized checks which bore the ink-mark of the federal government. How about during the health care reform debate when Teapublicans and pundits feigned outrage at (fictitious) cuts to the Medicare program? Have you seen their recent budget proposals which call for massive cuts to both the Medicare and Social Security programs? The tactics of the right are the definition of “hypocrisy”.

Now Michelle Obama is their target. First, it was Sarah Palin that attacked her childhood nutrition initiative. On one episode of her unsuccessful reality television show, Palin was feeding “S’Mores” to her children while camping. The former ex-quitting half-term Governor of Alaska then quipped, “This is in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert.” Nevermind the fact that Obama has never said that children should not have dessert. In fact, at that time Ms. Obama had simply suggested that schools serve healthier lunches to our children. Someone should ask Palin whether she would rather have her children’s schools serve sugar and fat-laden lunches or something more healthy. On second thought, that issue is moot in that Palin’s children seldom attend school.

Next, it was moonbat-crazy Rep. Michele Bachmann (Teapublican-MN) who criticized Ms. Obama. The potential (but doomed) presidential candidate appeared with radical right-wing radio host Laura Ingraham last week and feigned shock that the First Lady would once again advocate on behalf of healthy children. Ms. Obama had just advocated in favor of breast-feeding as a method to reduce childhood obesity. In fact, the IRS even agreed that the cost of nursing supplies that aide in the practice would be tax-deductible. Ms. Obama explained, “We also want to focus on the important touch points in a child’s life. And what we’re learning now is that early intervention is key. Breastfeeding. Kids who are breastfed longer have a lower tendency to be obese.” Her spokeswoman Kristina Schake added, “Breastfeeding is a very personal choice for every woman. We are trying to make it easier for those who choose to do it.”

Sounds reasonable doesn’t it? Ms. Obama would like to encourage mothers to breastfeed their children so that they can potentially cut into the child obesity epidemic and the children can then live healthier adult lives. Furthermore, she would like to make it easier (i.e. less costly) for mothers to continue the practice by means of providing tax relief equal to the cost of the required supplies. A win-win. Healthier children and tax relief! Sounds like a plan right out of the tax-cutting, family-values Tea Party handbook.

Despite the merit of this worthy initiative, Bachmann was horrified. In her typical over-the-top and nonsensical language, Bachmann said that the Obama breastfeeding initiative amounts to a “new definition [of] the nanny state.” She told Ingraham,

“This is very consistent with where the hard left is coming from. For them, government is the answer to every problem. I’ve given birth to five babies and I breast fed every single one of these babies. To think that government has to go out and buy my breast pump for my babies? You wanna talk about the nanny state, I think you just got a new definition.”

There is no question that Michele Bachmann is a crazy person that is not to be taken seriously. But wait, Sarah Palin then took the opportunity to board Bachmann’s crazy-train to koo-koo town. While complaining about inflation, she said: “No wonder Michelle Obama is telling everybody you better breast feed your babies. I’m looking and say, ‘Yeah, you better because the price of milk is so high right now’.”

Now batting, Rush Limbaugh. CNN reports, “Michelle Obama is taking heat from talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh after a report in the Vail Daily that she consumed a not-so-healthy-meal of ribs for dinner while on a recent visit to the Colorado resort, the latest example of conservative angst directed at the first lady’s healthy-eating initiative.”

“The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice,” Limbaugh said Monday on his radio program. “And then we hear that she’s out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per serving. She is a hypocrite. Leaders are supposed to be leaders. If we are supposed to go out and eat nothing, if we are supposed to eat roots, berries, and tree bark, show us how.”

The Vail Daily reported Sunday Mrs. Obama dined at the restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail Village, ordering “a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sautéed kale.” The first family, minus the president, went to Colorado for a long weekend of skiing.

Once again, these critics fail to mention that Ms. Obama has always said that unhealthy foods are acceptable in moderation. Indeed, at the President’s recent Super-Bowl party, they served bratwurst, kielbasa, cheeseburgers, deep-dish pizza and Buffalo wings with sides of German potato salad, twice-baked potatoes and assorted chips and dips. If they had served “roots, berries, and tree bark”, the radical-right would have complained that the First Family were elitists. There is simply no winning with these morons.

By the way, speaking of hypocrites, wasn’t it Rush Limbaugh that once said this about drug abusers: “These tough sentencing laws were instituted for a reason. The American people, including liberals, demanded them. Don’t you remember the crack cocaine epidemic? Crack babies and out-of-control murder rates? Liberal judges giving the bad guys slaps on the wrist? Finally we got tough, and the crime rate has been falling ever since, so what’s wrong?”

Do you really want to know “what’s wrong” Rush? Well first of all, where was Limbaugh’s voluntary submission to a tough jail sentence when it was revealed that he was an abuser of illegal drugs? Now that is hypocrisy!

What do you say we have another little song parody about Rush Limbaugh’s self-confessed drug addiction? Please remember to click on the song link below to familiarize yourselves with the tune and to have more fun singing along with the parody.

GO ASK LIMBAUGH

(sung to the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit”)

One pill makes Rush larger
But no pill makes him small
And the ones that Glenn Beck gives him
Make Rush whimper and then bawl
Go ask Limbaugh
He’s right down the hall

Rush has an addictive habit
And it’s gonna cause his fall
Like a bazooka toting ratings killer
His pills are his last call
Call Limbaugh
As he hits the wall

When Rush starts to get bored
He takes vicodin with some blow
And then he’s off to his dressing room
To prepare for his next show
Go get Limbaugh
A cup of Joe

When logic and proportion
Have escaped from his head
And this “White” Knight is talking backwards
Confusing Blue states with the Red
Remember when Rush takes his meds,
He’s brain dead
He’s brain dead

M’Ann Coulter Says Sarah Palin Is More Powerful Than The Presidency

Two Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

Whenever that guy Ann Coulter opens his mouth something stupid flies out. The absolutely irrelevant right-wing pundit appeared on MSNBC Thursday night and essentially said that Sarah Palin is too powerful to be the President of the United States. He said that he believes that the former ex-quitting half-term Governor of Alaska would win the Republican nomination but,

“I think it would be a step down for her to run for president. It’s like saying Rush Limbaugh should run for president. She’s huge. She has enormous power. She sends out a Twitter on death panels and everyone’s talking about it. I think it would be crazy for her to run for president.”

So let’s get this straight. The Coulter guy believes that there is more power in being a celebrity than being the leader of the free world. Does Coulter believe that Palin and Limbaugh can declare wars and propose national budgets and veto congressional bills also, too? Apparently so. If those are his standards, Coulter should inform the Tea-Baggers that Glenn Beck and Donald Trump should also stay away from the candidates’ podium.

Honestly, does anybody take the Coulter guy seriously anymore?

Band On The Run song link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7D65IomNYY

M’ANN ON THE RUN

(sung to the Paul McCartney and Wings song “Band On The Run”)

Just a boy with no balls, thinking that he’s clever,
Never havin’ no fun nights again, quite true,
Coulter you, Coulter you.

(musical interlude)

Spreading his politics of fear,
Hating you if you’re Black or gay,
Not a hint of veracity,
Does not know any other way
A transsexual without peer.
A transsexual without peer.

Well the rain exploded with a mighty crash when the Coulters had a son,
And before you know it he was growing his hair but he put it in a bun
M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run
Coulter had a plan not to be a man. A sex change would be so fun

For the M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run,

Next he put mascara on his manly eyes, but he lacked a curvy bum
And as he was singing, he let down his hair. He was having so much fun
M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run
Coulter had a plan not to be a man. A sex change would be so fun

Yeah the M’Ann on the run, the M’Ann on the run,
Yeah the M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run

Well, Fox News was calling as the right-wing world produced another clown
And the sound he’s making, unbalanced not fair, rumbles through the underground
M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run

Always touting “Drudge” and loves to judge
Research reveals this bore

He’s a M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run, M’Ann on the run,

Sunday Morning Coffee (or Tea) – 66

Just a few newsworthy events (and comments thereon) that have been making their way through the political universe this past week. Please ponder and maybe chuckle a bit before enjoying a wonderful day!

First of all, GO PATRIOTS! De”feet” the JETS!

BREAKING NEWS: In case you have not noticed, President Barack Obama‘s approval rating has climbed steadily in recent weeks to its highest point in nearly a year. According to an Associated Press-GfK poll, 53 percent of Americans surveyed said that they approve of how Obama is doing his job. Obama’s approval was last at 53 percent in early March 2010, before his health care reform bill was passed in its final form. The poll was conducted between January 5th and 10th. No doubt the rating will rise even more after the president’s recent speech in Tucson, Arizona.

BREAKING NEWS: Remember not too long ago when rap singers were criticized by those on the right for their violent lyrics? Those lyrics, we were told, could inspire violence. Then why are those on the right not as equally aghast at the violent rhetoric and symbolism which is fostered by Sarah Palin (Don’t retreat – RELOAD”, Sharron Angle (2nd Amendment remedies), Glenn Beck (Kill Charlie Rangel with a shovel), Ann “The Man” Coulter (Timothy McVeigh should have bombed the New York Times building) and Mike Huckabee (That’s Obama diving to the floor to avoid gunshots)? Good question?

THIS JUST IN: This week’s episode of “I Don’t Know Much About History” features Glenn Beck. He criticized the House Republican leadership for its decision not to read the “three fifths of a person” language of the original Constitution which was subsequently replaced through amendment. Beck said,

“Three-fifths clause. African-Americans: three-fifths in the South, three-fifths of a human being. That’s an outrage, unless you know why they put that in there. They put that in there because if slaves in the South were counted as full human beings, they could never abolish slavery. They would never be able to do it. It was a time bomb. Progressives should love that. It was a way to take a step to abolish slavery.”

As is usually the case, Beck could not have been more wrong.University of Pennsylvania history professor Rick Beeman states,

“They put [the three-fifths clause] there because delegates from the Southern states would never have agreed to the Constitution unless some weight was given to their slave populations in the apportionment of representation. They wanted slaves counted 100%, but when they saw that they could not get that, they settled for 3/5. The practical effect of that, far from making easier to abolish slavery, made it more difficult. It gave added weight to southern political power in Congress, it inflated Southern power in the apportioning of electoral votes, which led to a succession of Southern presidents. Ironically, the best thing that could have been done with respect to making it easier to abolish slavery would have been to have given slaves NO weight in the apportioning of representation.”

Glenn Beck never lets the facts get in the way of a good lie.

BREAKING NEWS: This week’s episode of “Why Can’t I Get The Toothpaste Back In The Tube” features former Minnesota Governor Tim “Good &” Pawlenty. The likely Republican candidate for the 2012 presidency told anti-gay radio host Brian Fischer that he we would support reinstating the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ban on gays in the military. This begs the question, just how could a reinstatement be accomplished? Would the gay soldiers that came out be forced to then go back into the closet? Additionally, would the military brass somehow magically be able to forget the identities of those soldiers that did come out? Please Tim, do tell.

THIS JUST IN: After having come under fire from all quarters this past week for fostering violent rhetoric, the right-wing talking heads can now turn their attention to one of their favorite whipping boards; the French. This week a brawling smoker turned his trans-Atlantic flight from France into something resembling a bar fight and is facing criminal charges. The man was illegally smoking in the rest room and when confronted, he started a fight. After finally being apprehended by federal air marshals the passenger continued to verbally abuse individuals around him, yelling in substance ‘I’m French, f*** you!'” This event will have Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity chirping for days.

BREAKING NEWS: On Friday afternoon Michael Steele stepped down from the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. Really, was there ever any doubt about that happening? Now Steele will have all the time he needs to spend with lesbian bondage strippers.

THIS JUST IN: This week’s episode of “Tell Us Something That Wasn’t Obvious” features former President Ronald Reagan. His youngest son Ron Reagan, Jr. revealed in his new book that he believes his father showed signs of Alzheimer’s disease while he was in the White House. In the book titled “My Father at 100,” which is due out next week, Ron Reagan writes, “Three years into his first term as President … I was feeling the first shivers of concern that something beyond mellowing was affecting my father.” It is only a matter of time now before senior members of the G.O.P. and right-wing shock jocks begin undermining Reagan Jr. for having the audacity to speak truthfully about his own father.

BREAKING NEWS: Arizona state and federal law enforcement officials have conclusively proved that killer Jared Loughner is, in fact, a member of the Republican Party. A recently discovered roll of 35mm film contained a photograph of Loughner posing with a 9mm handgun while wearing a red G-string. This is incontrovertible proof that Loughner is a member of the G.O.P. because numerous members of that party have displayed an affinity for being photographed with either firearms or fetish wear. David “Diapers” Vitter and Rudolph “9/11” Giuliani were unavailable for comment.

Monday Morning Coffee (or Tea) – 65

Just a few newsworthy events (and comments thereon) that have been making their way through the political universe this past week. Please ponder and maybe chuckle a bit before enjoying a wonderful and hopefully productive day!

BREAKING NEWS: It was announced on Tuesday that radio station WOR in New York has dropped Glenn Beck‘s radio show as the result of poor ratings. Is it really any surprise that those well educated, elitist New Yorkers would have no reason to listen to Beck’s daily dose of misinformation? Will Philadelphia and Boston be next?

THIS JUST IN: This week’s episode of “Man With A Mission” features New York’s Democratic Party Senator Chuck Schumer. He has called for all Republican members of Congress who opposed last year’s health care reform legislation to decline the government provided health coverage for themselves and their families. Of course only one of those hypocrites has elected to turn down the health coverage that they hoped to deny their constituents.

BREAKING NEWS: Anyone else curious as to what really caused thousands of birds to fall dead from the Arkansas sky? Just wondering.

THIS JUST IN: This week’s episode of “I’m Not As Misguided As This Guy” feature’s Tucker Carlson of Fox News. Those of you that read this blog regularly will recall that I had a lengthy back and forth with a reader in the comment section of my posting about the Green Bay Packers last Sunday night. The reader felt that I went too far when I referred to the Philadelphia Eagles’ Michael Vick as the team’s “convicted felon and dog killing quarterback”. I defended my position by pointing out that I only spoke the truth. Vick is in fact, a dog killing convicted felon. The reader felt that I should lighten up on Vick, and maybe I should. Nevertheless, I certainly never went over the top with my dislike of Vick as did Tucker Carlson while filling in for Sean Hannity last week. Carlson actually called for Michael Vick’s execution. He said, “I’m a Christian, I’ve made mistakes myself, I believe fervently in second chances. But Michael Vick killed dogs and he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think personally, he should have been executed for that.” I may dislike the guy but I certainly would not call for his execution. The folks at Fox News however always take an argument to its absurd extreme.

BREAKING NEWS: This week’s “Fox News Comments.com” racist quote appears in response to the Fox News headline, “Should Congress Raise The Nation’s Debt Ceiling”. The comment: “Negro-nomics must end! Stop spending and start saving! The citizens best invest in ammo, lots of ammo!” OK then.

THIS JUST IN: Speaking of Fox News, those masters of misinformation are at it again. MediaMatters.com informs us that during the January 3 edition of Fox NewsFox & Friends, the co-hosts brought on Fox News contributor Dana Perino to discuss her comments on the Energy and Independence Security Act of 2007 in The Washington Post. During the segment, she claimed that the bill included a “ban on incandescent light bulbs.” Problem is, it does not. The Energy Independence and Security Act which was passed in 2007 by a Republican majority Congress and signed into law by George W. Bush, does not ban all incandescent bulbs, only inefficient ones. The Faux News slogan should be,  “Misinformation For The Mainstream Media”.

BREAKING NEWS: This week’s episode of “The Real Death Panels of Arizona” features Arizona’s Republican Governor Jan Brewer. Since Brewer signed an executive order which cuts Medicaid funding to her state’s poorest residents, at least two people have died as the result of having their organ transplant claims denied. How’s that for an example of a Republican government bureaucrat coming between a doctor and his/her patient?

THIS JUST IN: Minnesota’s moonbat-crazy Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann made the news twice this week. First it was revealed that she is considering a run for the presidency in 2012. Then, just a day later, she introduced a bill to repeal the financial regulatory law recently enacted by the Democrats. The law’s co-sponsor Barney Frank (D-MA) lambasted the repeal effort in true flamboyant fashion. He said, “They yearn to return to the thrilling days of yesteryear, so the loan arrangers can ride again – untrammeled by any rules restraining irresponsibility, excess, deception, and most of all, infinite leverage.” The man has away with words and makes a more than valid point.

BREAKING NEWS: This week’s episode of “The Misinformed” features the Fox News audience. A recent poll conducted by WorldPublicOpinion.org revealed that “Those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never watched it to believe that most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely), most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points), the economy is getting worse (26 points), most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points), the stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points), their own income taxes have gone up (14 points), the auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points), when TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points) and that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points). The effect was also not simply a function of partisan bias, as people who voted Democratic and watched Fox News were also more likely to have such misinformation than those who did not watch it–though by a lesser margin than those who voted Republican.” Anyone surprised?

THIS JUST IN: It would not be a newsworthy week without some mention of Sarah Palin, now would it? It is especially rewarding when we can mention Palin and conservative Pundit Ann “The Man” Coulter in the same story. This week the Coulter guy tweeted, “Great video: head of GOProud interviewed by retarded person on MSNBC,” and provided a link to this interview, in which Barron of Republican gay rights group GOProud defends the group’s conservative credentials to Cenk Uygur, after invitees of the Conservative Political Action Conference boycotted an event over the inclusion of Barron’s organization. You might remember that last year Sarah Palin called for the firing of Rahm Emanuel for using the word “retard” but gave a pass to both Rush Limbaugh and shock-jock Ted Nugent for using the same word. Will Palin now call out Coulter or defend her use of the word as she did with the two right wingers? What is your guess? Oh and by the way, Ted Nugent is showing Palin no love. This week he told Anderson Cooper that he would not vote for Palin if she runs for president.

BREAKING NEWS: Speaking of Sarah Palin, Enteratinment Weekly (EW) reports that there will be no second season of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”. “EW did its due diligence and discovered there are no plans to send uber-producer Mark Burnett back to Wasilla with Palin, who’s lured an averaged 3.2 million viewers to TLC with her show. So this Sunday’s two-hour finale of Sarah Palin’s Alaska appears to be its last.” EW also states that “it makes sense why Palin wouldn’t want to commit to another season: If she and her family chose to shoot more episodes, it would surely be interpreted as a sign that she had no plans to run for office. By not doing a second round, Palin would spare TLC the trouble of having to provide her fellow candidates with equal-access time of their own in the event she did decide to run.” In Lynnrockets’ opinion, this is simply another charade by the Queen of Quit. If Palin agreed to film a 2nd season of her un-reality show this summer, it would reveal that she is not running for president. The only reason that Palin continues to draw the limelight and profit from it, is that she teases that she will run for office in 2012. As soon as it is certain that she will not run for the presidency, she is no longer newsworthy and her cash-cow will run dry. Consequently, Sarah Palin will do everything in her power to prolong the hype that she might run. As we all know however, in the end she is unelectable. Thank the Lord.

Is Fox News And Tea Party Hatred to Blame For This Atrocity?

This is truly breaking (heart-breaking) news. CNN has just reported that at least 12 people were shot at a Tucson, Arizona grocery store on Saturday, and Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was among them. The network reports that, “Giffords, 40, was holding a constituent meeting at the grocery store when the shooting occurred, according to a schedule posted on her website.” The Tuscon Citizen newspaper reports that Giffords was shot in the head.

Giffords won her third term in a closely contested race against a Tea Party-sponsored candidate and was one of three Democratic legislators who reported vandalism at their offices following the March vote on health care reform.

It is obviously too early to place blame for this atrocity until we learn more about the assailant. Nevertheless, if it is determined that the shooter targeted the Democratic Representative for political reasons,  Fox News hosts such as Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck may be morally culpable for fostering an atmosphere encouraging revolution-like actions against the Democratic Party controlled government. Is it any wonder that at some point violence might be triggered by Palin’s inappropriate rhetoric such as “Don’t Retreat. Reload”, or her infamous website ad which targeted certain Democrats (including Giffords) for electoral defeat by means of placing gun-sight symbols over their judicial districts on a U.S. map? Has Glenn Beck’s near constant comparison of the Obama administration to communists, socialists or even Hitler fostered an atmosphere of sober and reasoned political discourse? Of course not. These far-right conservative radicals have stopped just short of actually calling for violence against government officials. On a daily basis they remind the easily influenced Tea Party members of the glory of our nation’s armed revolution. Indeed, during the most recent election cycle Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle went so far as to say that the public should bring down an out-of-control Congress with “Second Amendment remedies.”

The far-right media and politicians refused to castigate those people that attended Tea Party rallies armed with guns. They turned the truth upside down when they defended the Tea Partier that assaulted and stepped on the head of a defenseless woman at a Rand Paul event. Every time some far-right conservative takes their bait and like a hungry dog devouring raw meat, starts talking about “taking back the government” and stocking up on guns and ammunition, the likes of Beck, Palin, Limbaugh, Malkin, Coulter and Hannity defend these crackpots by claiming that they are simply expressing their frustration. Their thinly veiled encouragement of violence either threatened or actual is despicable.

I hope from the bottom of my heart that today’s shooting was the work of a person with a severe mental disability who picked a random target and not a person motivated by what seems to be an ever-increasing level of political hatred. The mentally disabled person works alone while the politically motivated person is likely only one of many that may resort to lethal violence. It is time for the hate-spreading far-right media and politicians to realize this and tone down their rhetoric and tacit encouragement of violence.

No song parody today. I see no humor in this tragic event. My prayers are with Ms. Giffords and the other innocent shooting victims.
