Ann “The Man” Coulter Flip-Flops On Mitt “Midas” Romney

How predictable radical reich-wing conservative pundits can be. They bash a Republican candidate and then they embrace the same candidate when he is the last one standing. Case in point: Ann Coulter.

Just one year ago the uber-conservative Coulter told the CPAC crowd, “If we don’t run Chris Christie, Romney will be the nominee and we will lose.”

Coulter has now (in some sort of weird Romney-like mimic) flip-flopped. He claims that Mitt Romney has the “Midas Touch”. Yesterday while appearing as a guest on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”, Ann Coulter proclaimed, “Romney has had a Midas touch with everything he has done”, including his job as Governor of Massachusetts. “It is not just Bain,” he continued, “it is everything he touches.”

Watch it here: http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201206100002

What a monumental flip-flop. Does this Coulter guy think that we do not have videotape of his CPAC proclamation? Of course, Coulter’s praise for Romney avoided any mention of the fact that while Governor, Massachusetts ranked 47th in the nation in job creation.  He also failed to mention that while Governor, Romney vastly increased taxes on Massachusetts’ working/middle class residents by raising nearly every fee paid by citizens for government services such as drivers licenses, auto registrations, recording of deeds and 83 others. In total, Romney’s fee increases and increased taxes exceeded $ 740 million per year.

But really, what else could we expect from a guy like Ann Coulter? Let’s watch some of the insanity this fella demonstrates (some of the language is not fit for children):

COULTER

(sung to the Kinks song “Lola”)

I saw her once last week on the Fox network
Where the hosts are lame and the guests are worse like Ann Coulter
She is a revolter
A big Adam’s Apple and masculine hands
She has the curves of a flagpole and a set of big huge molars
M-o-l-a molars mo-mo-mo-mo molars

It might be the world’s most unfunny joke
But if he’s a lady then my glasses are broke
That Ann Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter
Well I’m not dumb but I can’t understand
Why he walks like a woman but looks like a man
That Ann Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter

Well he sat right next to Hannity
And then was on Bill O’Reilly
They saw mascara on his eyes so blue
But I swear those guys didn’t have a damn clue
Well I don’t know if they are into men
But the next night on Fox he was on there again that Ann Coulter
Co-co-co-co Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter
Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter

I changed the station
M-S-N-B-C
Re-luct-ant-ly
I then turned back to Fox
Then I was convinced she was a he

Well I don’t know what ol Rush Limbaugh thinks
But I like women, not some missing link-like Ann Coulter
Co-co-co-co Coulter’s
he says that her wisdom sells his books
It’s gotta be somethin’ cuz it ain’t his good looks that Ann Coulter
Co-co-co-co Coulter

I took a closer look at Hannity
Now I’m not really so sure that he’s not a she
But this might be the Republican way
A sex change is good cuz then you’re not gay

Well I’m not the world’s most masculine man
And I do not possess giant, hairy man-hands
Like that Mann Coulter
Co-co-co-co Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter
Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter co-co-co-co Coulter

Tuesday Morning Coffee (or Tea) – 97

Just a few newsworthy items (and comments thereon) that have been making their way through the political universe this past week but may have escaped your attention. Please ponder and maybe chuckle a bit before enjoying a wonderful day during this unofficial first workday of summer!

BREAKING NEWS:  This week’s episode of “Creepy Old Fat Men” stars conservative radio shock jock Rush Limbaugh. Media Matters reports that last week the drug-addicted Limbaugh told a 14 year old girl who called into the program that she is a “Rush babe”. He then said, “See, folks, this program has no boundaries. We have people from all three sexes, we have people from all religions, we have people from all genders, all demographics, all ages. A 14-year-old Rush babe.” Ewww! After listening to Limbaugh, you feel like you need a shower.

THIS JUST IN:  Want to know how to lose the Latino vote? Just ask Mitt Romney. Talking Points Memo reports that Romney addressed a luncheon hosted by the Latino Coalition Wednesday. Immigration was not mentioned once, either in the address or in a pre-screened Q&A session. Romney’s lack of any reference to immigration on Wednesday was especially glaring given that the Latino Coalition has strongly advocated for comprehensive immigration reforms in recent years. The  the latest polls show Romney trailing with Latinos by the same disastrous margins that brought down John McCain.

BREAKING NEWS:  Speaking of Mitt Romney, he was given a foreign policy spanking last week by none other than GOP foreign policy heavyweight Colin Powell. In reference to Romney’s labeling of Russia as the United States’ “No. 1 geopolitical foe, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, “Come on, Mitt, think. That isn’t the case.” MSNBC reports that Powell added, “Let’s not go creating enemies where none need exist… let’s not hyperbolize the situation.”

THIS JUST IN:  Speaking of Colin Powell, did you realize that last week he endorsed gay marriage? The Hill reports that he said, “As I’ve thought about gay marriage, I know a lot of friends who are individually gay but are in partnerships with loved ones. And they are [as] stable a family as my family is. And they raise children. And so I don’t see any reason not to say that they should be able to get married under the laws of their state or the laws of the country, however that turns out — it seems to be the laws of the state,” during an appearance on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” Good for you, Mr. Powell!

BREAKING NEWS:  Remember Newt Gingrich? before running for President he liked to brag that his business ventures pulled in more than $110 million over the past decade. Well, a funny thing happened on the way to Newt’s quitting the presidential race. Reuters reports that “the vestiges of this empire are mired in debt, as is Gingrich’s campaign fund” and they “are going bankrupt.” Gingrich, you might recall, told the American people he knew how to get the nation out of debt. Not so much.

THIS JUST IN:  Speaking of Newt Gingrich, remember when the philanderer’s personal financial disclosure campaign filing revealed he had a line of credit of up to $1 million with the store, in addition to a revolving charge account at the high-end Tiffany & Co. jewelry store? Well, perhaps Gingrich’s recent financial collapse has also had a negative effect on the tony jeweler. Tiffany & Co. cut its outlook for both sales and profit for the year, citing a slowdown in demand for its jewelry. As the result of that announcement, its shares fell more than 8 percent in premarket trading.

BREAKING NEWS: Best quote of the week: at an event in Iowa, President Obama said “Governor Romney came to Des Moines last week and warned of a prairie fire of debt, but he left out some facts. His speech was more like a cow pie of distortion.”

THIS JUST IN: This weeks episode of “Republicans Eating Their Young” features George F. Will. Thinkprogress writes, “During an appearance on ABC’s This Week, columnist George Will slammed Romney for sharing a stage with the self-promoting businessman. Describing Trump as a ”bloviating ignoramus,” Will said, “I do not understand the cost benefit here. The costs are clear. The benefit — what voter is gonna vote for him [Romney] because he is seen with Donald Trump? The cost of appearing with this bloviating ignoramus is obvious it seems to me…Donald Trump is redundant evidence that if your net worth is high enough, your IQ can be very low and you can still intrude into American politics. Again, I don’t understand the benefit. What is Romney seeking? ”

BREAKING NEWS:  This weeks episode of “Republicans Eating Their Young- Part Two” features Meghan McCain. The Senator’s daughter wrote a column in The Daily Beast this week in which she called out Republicans for their hate speech. She said, “Last week, I went on Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show PoliticsNation to talk about extremism in the Republican Party. As a socially liberal Republican, this happens to be a topic I know a lot about. On the show, I told Sharpton that many Republicans treat me like a freak, especially the extreme-right members of my party. I went on to say that I don’t understand the appeal of extreme bloggers such as Michelle Malkin and the late Andrew Breitbart. That’s all I said, but it only took a few hours before my comments were posted out of context on a variety of blogs that suggested I was viciously attacking Breitbart. My Twitter feed exploded with insults, including the suggestion that I should kill myself.”

Please remember to click on the song link below to not only familiarize yourselves with the tune of today’s song parody about the Meghan McCain /Michelle Malkin rivalry, but also so that you will have more fun singing along.

We Can Work It Out song link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn_ZdX6nQvw

THEY CAN’T WORK IT OUT

(sung to The Beatles song “We Can Work It Out”)

Try to see Malkin’s way
All she does is keep on squawking till she can’t go on
Try to see McCain’s way
Just a kid foregoing all the love of neocons

They can’t work it out
They can’t work it out

All Meghan is saying
Neocons were wrong and moved way too far to the right
But Michelle is saying
McCain’s a kid that must learn to hate with lips locked tight

They can’t work it out
They can’t work it out

No one shall abort for it’s a crime
Keep fussing and fighting, my friends
G.O.P. group thought by Fox is fine
Broadcast from six till after ten

But to see Malkin’s way
So easy to tell that the far right is so damn wrong
She can’t see McCain’s way
And the chance that the right will fall apart before too long

They can’t work it out
They can’t work it out

Sight is very short in Malkin time
Nonplussing and fighting with friends
McCain’s only thought, not worth a dime
But she still “tweets” time and again

They should hit the highway
They emit a smell that is both ripe and very strong
Passing through a doorway
That will hit them in the ass as we shout out, “So Long!”

They can’t work it out
They can’t work it out

The Limbaugh Limbo: How Low Can Rush’s Ratings Go?

It looks like radical right-wing radio blowhard Rush Limbaugh is sustaining even more damage than originally contemplated as the result of his Sandra Fluke controversy. Back in April, Ms. Fluke became newsworthy when she aired her belief that religiously affiliated employers (such as Georgetown Law School where she is a student) should be forced to provide the same contraceptive health care insurance coverage to women as all other (non-religiously affiliated) employers.

Fluke’s comments sent Rush Limbaugh into an on-air public tirade against her. In a lengthy three day long diatribe, he called her a “slut” and a “prostitute”. Limbaugh also said that Fluke was having so much sex she couldn’t walk to Capitol Hill to testify before Congress. He also said, “So, if we’re gonna sit here, and if we’re gonna have a part in this, then we want something in return, Ms. Fluke: And that would be the videos of all this sex posted online so we can see what we are getting for our money.”

Unfortunately for Limbaugh however, he came out looking like a bully and the public reacted accordingly. A massive threatened boycott against those national businesses that continued to support Limbaugh by means of advertising on his program led to a sponsor evacuation. Some 168 national sponsors stopped advertising on Limbaugh’s radio program and at least 2 stations dropped his show. Indeed, for a lengthy period on his flagship station WABC, his commercial time consisted only of free public service announcements while his online feed featured dead air. The Stop Rush Project provides a detailed listing of all national advertisers who have dropped or are avoiding placing ads on Limbaugh’s program.

Thereafter, the National Organization for Women (NOW) focused upon persuading local business sponsors to cease associating themselves with Limbaugh’s program. NOW organized a series of protests at local radio affiliates who carry the Limbaugh program in an effort to convince those stations and local advertisers to sever ties with Limbaugh. Some of the cities where the protests were held included, Washington, D.C., New York City, Phoenix, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, Columbia, MO, Toledo, OH, Grand Rapids, MI, and West Palm Beach, FL. The message that the National Organization for Women sent is that the pressure is not going to stop. Any advertiser who supports, or radio station that carries Rush Limbaugh will be held accountable.

NOW President Terry O’Neill said, “For more than two decades, Rush Limbaugh has degraded women, people of color and anyone who doesn’t look or think like him. Like bullies everywhere, Limbaugh uses the age-old tactic of savaging one woman for the purpose of intimidating all women away from the public square. Rush’s hostile, hateful speech is destructive to our public discourse, our communities and our democracy…NOW is proud to stand with Sandra Fluke and everyone Limbaugh has degraded and insulted over the years. We hope that women’s rights and social justice supporters around the country will join us in this campaign.”

The anti-Limbaugh movement seems to have worked. Limbaugh’s radio listening ratings have plummeted since the Fluke controversy. Politico reports,

“The conservative radio host’s ratings fell 27 percent in the key 25-54 demo in New York City, 31 percent in Houston-Galveston, 40 percent in Seattle-Tacoma, and 35 percent in Jacksonville, according to a selection of the March 29-April 25 Arbitron ratings provided by an industry source.

Limbaugh’s detractors attribute the losses to a rejection of the show following his controversial comments about the Georgetown law student.

‘Clearly Sandra Fluke isn’t the only one who didn’t like Rush calling her a ‘slut’ given how many viewers that comment incinerated,’ one radio insider said.”

First the drug-addicted Limbaugh loses his advertisers and then he loses his listeners. This looks like the demise of Glenn Beck all over again. How low can Rush go?

Puff The Magic Dragon song link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92fBySoAQaA&feature=fvst

RUSH THE TRAGIC MAGGOT

(sung to the Peter, Paul and Mary song “Puff The Magic Dragon”)

Rush the tragic maggot lives by the sea
Was born in 1951 in a state called Missouri
Limbaugh’s education went down in a flush
He made it two semesters and his family kept it hush, oh

Rush the tragic maggot had an injury
It was a pilonidal cyst in a place he could not see
Rush the magic maggot petitioned his country
Then they deemed him too unfit for the military

Therefore he did not travel off to the Ho Chi Minh Trail
Limbaugh the rabid chickenhawk was deemed to be too frail
So he became a disc jockey and pursued his fame
Alas he was a failure as his music taste was lame, oh

Rush the tragic maggot found ABC
And began his talk radio stint shilling for the G.O.P.
Rush the tragic maggot tried football on Monday
But when he showed his racist trait they canned his ass hastily

The maggot talks forever and his voice sure annoys
Calls his listeners “ditto heads” while he’s making noise
Rush thinks that he matters and is gen’rally adored
Poor Rush does not realize he’s like a mouse that roars

The mike that he speaks into bigger, than his brain
His brain-dead thoughtless audience is his gravy train
“Operation Chaos” failed in a big way
Despite all Rush’s efforts the Dems won running away, oh

Rush the tragic maggot lives happily
He doctor shops his days away and frequents pharmacies
Rush the tragic maggot loves his Oxy-C
And when he’s feeling a bit down, there’s the blue pill known as “V”

A Renewed Rush To Boycott Limbaugh

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is facing a renewed push to have local advertisers and stations sever their ties with him.

This new campaign is being mounted by the National Organization for Women (NOW) and it has evolved from the backlash precipitated by Limbaugh a few months ago when he publicly called  Georgetown Law Student Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute”. Limbaugh also said that Fluke was having so much sex she couldn’t walk to Capitol Hill to testify before Congress. He also said, “So, if we’re gonna sit here, and if we’re gonna have a part in this, then we want something in return, Ms. Fluke: And that would be the videos of all this sex posted online so we can see what we are getting for our money.” This is peculiar stuff coming from a man who was detained by drug enforcement agents ata Florida airport after returning from an all-male excursion to the Dominican Republic when they discovered he had a bottle of Viagra in his luggage which was prescribed to another person.

In any event, following the Sandra Fluke remarks, some 168 sponsors stopped advertising on Limbaugh’s radio program and at least 2 stations dropped his show. Indeed, for a lengthy period on his flagship station WABC, his commercial time consisted only of free public service announcements and his online feed featured dead air. The Stop Rush Project provides a detailed listing of all national advertisers who have dropped or are avoiding placing ads on Limbaugh’s program.

Despite the loss of so many national advertisers however, local businesses continue to advertise on his show. Politicususa.com reports, “This is who the National Organization for Women will be targeting. Limbaugh can survive the loss of some national advertisers, but his empire is built on local stations paying big bucks to carry his show. If local advertisers bail, Rush Limbaugh’s show will be become financial loser for the local stations who carry him.” NOW is organizing a series of protests at local radio affiliates who carry the Limbaugh program in an effort to convince those stations and local advertisers to sever ties with Limbaugh. Some of the cities where the protests will be held include, Washington, D.C., New York City, Phoenix, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, Columbia, MO, Toledo, OH, Grand Rapids, MI, and West Palm Beach, FL. The message that the National Organization for Women is sending is that the pressure is not going to stop.

Here’s hoping NOW’s campaign is a resounding success. It would be wonderful to see the perfect mesh of the First Amendment right to free speech and free market capitalism drive this uneducated (flunked out of college after only 2 semesters), racist (he told an African American female caller to his show to, “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”), drug addict (he has admitted an addiction to pain killers) off the airwaves for good.

THE HO HO SONG

(sung to the Ringo Starr song “The No No Song”)

A doctor that I know just came from the pharmacy
He smiled at Rush and opened up his hand
Then he held out some Oxycontin tablets
He said they were the finest in the land

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My back is feeling really damn sore
If I say please
Can I have more of these
My habit has become really hardcore

A friend of Rush Limbo who wears a hat made of tin
Came on the show and opened up his hand
When he revealed twelve tablets of Vicodin
Rush was so happy he performed handstands

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
I always come to you for a score
Without more of these
I’m in a cold-turkey freeze
And ditto-heads need someone to adore

(racist rant break)

A ditto-head I know said he could make organs grow
He smiled and said Rush would not need his hand
Then he gave him some blue Viagra pills, Oh
And said that things will rise upon command

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My love life has become such a chore
Please, pretty please
I’m flying overseas
The boys there like it when it hits the floor

Yes, Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
I just love the drug store
Painkillers, Viagra and much more
It’s such a tease
All of those varieties
I’ll grab a bunch and head right out the door.

Hey, Did You Hear What (fill in name of conservative pundit here) Said This Week?

Sean Hanitty (Fox News): The elimination of Osama bin Laden “wouldn’t have happened if he (President Barack Obama) had his way”;

Ann Coulter: At CPAC she said, “Voters with forty years of politically correct education are ecstatic to have the first black president. They just love the idea even if we did get Flavor Flav instead of Thomas Sowell.”;

Liz Trotta (Fox News): While commenting on the recent Pentagon report which reveals that there has been a 64% increase in violent sexual assaults in the military, Trotta said, “Well, what did they expect? These people are in close contact…That’s funny, I thought the mission of the armed forces was to defend and protect us, not the people who were fighting the war.”;

Fox Business Network: Sometimes actions speak louder than words. Such is the case with the Fox Business Network who’s executives responded to poor ratings by firing its entire prime-time lineup and replacing them with re-runs of other programs;

Charles Gasparino (Fox News): Referred to the recently announced $26 billion foreclosure malfeasance settlement as a “deadbeat bailout”;

Laura Ingraham (Radio): “Don’t you love it when people come to CPAC and they don’t really have access to conservatives? And I’m not talking about Governor Romney by the way.”;

Bill O’Reilly (Fox News): “Can you make fun of a gay person in this country? Can you just make a joke about a gay person? … Can you mock a gay person and your organization, other organizations — would you be OK with that if it’s just done in a casual, allegedly humorous way?”;

Glenn Beck (Radio): “I want to talk a little bit about the parallels between the Obama administration and the FDR administration as it comes into play with communists. We have Marxists, Maoists, communists in and around the White House influencing and actually working with [it]. We had that with FDR. Both denied it at the time.”

Sarah Palin (Fox News): “That glowing enthusiasm isn’t there yet. I believe a lot of that is in part the idea that it’s a foregone conclusion that Mitt Romney will be the GOP pick. He certainly has the establishment support and much of the media support. I also believe that he is the one that President Obama would love to debate and to run against in November.”;

Rush Limbaugh (Radio): “…as I’ve been saying the past couple of weeks, if you’re looking for a conservative who is the least corrupted, who has the least number of periods of wandering off the reservation, if you’re looking for a conservative who’s never sat down with Nancy Pelosi on the couch for any reason, you get Rick Santorum.  And people know this.”

Andrew Brietbart (Publisher-Videographer): The conservative pundit who doctored the infamous ACORN tapes  and the Shirley Sherrod tapes and was caught, appeared at the OCCUPY CPAC protest and had a complete and total public meltdown, which ironically, was caught on tape and has not been edited.
How is that for a week’s worth of right-wing crazy!

RIGHT WING RADIO

(sung to the Everclear song “AM Radio”)

Portions of this lame programming are reproduced
By means of electronical transcriptions or tape recordings.

Radio
You can hear that bullshit on the right wing radio

There’s Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity
There’s lots of that Glenn Beck’s crap
Heavy on insanity

It’s simulcast along
The world wide webs

They’re pouring out pitchers full of Kool-Aid
Through the internets grid

Tea-Bagging clowns
On the air waves

Won’t talk to you if you’re black, young or gay

Limbaugh taught ‘em
The EIB chair
Is so toxic and vile
And it is unbalanced and unfair

Yo!
You must listen
To the poison on
That right wing radio (right wing radio, right wing radio)

Yeah… there’s no need for music
On right wing radio (right wing radio)

Savage is without a clue
Steers clear of every single neighborhood
In a state if that state is “Blue”

Malkin
Makes an ungodly sound
Crazy shit she’s into
Cruisin’ with that Glenn Beck clown

These nuts are broadcast across the nation
To the dumb and poor
Who mimic them like apes

They’re all right their at prime-time
Sean Hannity looks fried
Bill O’Reilly and that Sarah P. lie all goddamn night

Don’t lie in bed with the radio on
You will lose your sanity before long
When you hear Glenn Beck and his song

There’s lots of hate
And you can hear it
On that right wing radio (right wing radio, right wing radio)

Yeah… there’s no need for music
On right wing radio (right wing radio)

Listen to Limbaugh say
“Boy…Let’s bring Obama down!”

Oh no, “The Glenn Beck” show again.
I don’t wanna hear that show
Talk about “end times” and socialism, man, he such a fool
Turn it off
(Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off)

Sean Hannity is on at five
I feel like throwing up
When he spins
All that lame jive
Lives in a bubble where he is “the man”
Can’t be trusted
Cuz he lies
Like Glenn Beck and that’s a fact, man

Remember way back in two-thousand-seven
They said Romney and his cohorts
Would be leading us to heaven
If ol’ Rush Limbaugh
Could have had his way
“Operation Chaos”
Would have had Hilary Clinton
On election day
Hey!
Election day!
Hey!
No way!
Hey Rush, go away!

There must be a place we can tell them to go
A real hot place where they don’t have any snow
But they’re sure to have right wing radio

Huh-uh huh-uh huh-uh huh

Yeah, things get real stupid
On those stupid shows
The hosts are really daffy

There’s no need for music
On right wing radio (right wing radio)
There’s no need for music
On right wing radio (right wing radio)
There’s no need for music
On right wing radio (right wing radio, right wing radio)

Rush Limbaugh Is Not A Fine Human Being, A Decent Person Or An Average American

The idiotic Rush Limbaugh sunk to a new low on his radio show yesterday. During a misinformative tirade, he said that neither President Obama nor First Lady Michelle Obama are a “fine human being”, “a decent person” or an “average American”.

Has Limbaugh looked in the mirror? Does this uneducated, drug-addicted, racist who has been married four times consider himself to be a “fine human being”, “a decent person” or an “average American”? Shall we take a little look at Rush Limbaugh and the events of his sterling life?

Rush Limbaugh flunked out of Southeast Missouri State University after only two semesters and one summer session. To date, he has no college degree. According to his mother, “he flunked everything”.

Limbaugh has been married four times. His marriages have lasted four years, seven years, ten years and one year (and counting) in successive order.

Limbaugh has publicly condemned illegal drug use for a long time. On his television program he said that “Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. … And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.”

Of course he said those things before he was exposed as being a drug addict.  On October 3, 2003 the National Enquirer reported that Limbaugh was being investigated for illegally obtaining the prescription drugs oxycodone and hydrocodone. Other news outlets quickly confirmed the investigation. He admitted to listeners on his radio show on October 10, 2003 that he was addicted to prescription painkillers and stated that he would enter inpatient treatment for 30 days, immediately after the broadcast. On April 28, 2006 a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of doctor shopping. According to Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for the Sheriff, during his arrest, Limbaugh was booked, photographed, and fingerprinted, but not handcuffed. He was then released after about an hour on $3,000 bail. After his surrender, he filed a “not guilty” plea to the charge. Prosecutors agreed to drop the charge if Limbaugh paid $30,000 to defray the cost of the investigation and completed an 18-month therapy regimen with his physician. Under the terms of the agreement, Limbaugh was prohibited from owning a firearm for eighteen months and must continue to submit to random drug testing. Later, in June 2006, Limbaugh was detained by drug enforcement agents at Palm Beach International Airport. Customs officials confiscated Viagra from Limbaugh’s luggage as he was returning from the Dominican Republic. The prescription was not in Limbaugh’s name.

Rush Limbaugh also appears to be a blatant racist. He resigned under pressure in 2003 after only a very brief stint co-hosting ESPN‘s “Sunday NFL Countdown”. This resulted from his on-air claim that quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.  Later, he talked about football once again when he said, “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons”. Limbaugh also once referred to New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner as a “cracker who made African-Americans millionaires”.  Remember when he said, “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies”? How about when he told an African American female caller to his show to, “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back”? Limbaugh even played a song on his radio show titled “Barack the Magic Negro,” sung to the tune of “Puff the Magic Dragon”.

Taking all of the above into consideration, perhaps Rush Limbaugh’s most recent personal attacks against President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are the finest example yet of the pot calling the kettle black.

(sung to the Ringo Starr song “The No No Song”)

A doctor that I know just came from the pharmacy
He smiled at Rush and opened up his hand
Then he held out some Oxycontin tablets
He said they were the finest in the land

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My back is feeling really damn sore
If I say please
Can I have more of these
My habit has become really hardcore

A friend of Rush Limbo who wears a hat made of tin
Came on the show and opened up his hand
When he revealed twelve tablets of Vicodin
Rush was so happy he performed handstands

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
I always come to you for a score
Without more of these
I’m in a cold-turkey freeze
And ditto-heads need someone to adore

(racist rant break)

A ditto-head I know said he could make organs grow
He smiled and said Rush would not need his hand
Then he gave him some blue Viagra pills, Oh
And said that things will rise upon command

And Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
Do you have any more
My love life has become such a chore
Please, pretty please
I’m flying overseas
The boys there like it when it hits the floor

Yes, Rush said, “Ho ho ho ho”
I just love the drug store
Painkillers, Viagra and much more
It’s such a tease
All of those varieties
I’ll grab a bunch and head right out the door.

Limbaugh’s Lies Exposed By Ed Schultz

Another bevy of Rush Limbaugh lies was exposed yesterday. MSNBC host Ed Schultz played a portion of Limbaugh’s radio show during which the drug-addled racist alleged that “ignorant and uninformed voters” elected President Obama. Limbaugh went on to say that Democrats were trying to dumb-down students in school to brainwash them. He continued by saying “anyone who cares about the country and is informed would not vote for Obama” and “the uninformed voter is a target Democrat Party audience.”

Ed Schultz however, would have none of it. On the segment of his nightly television program titled “Psychotalk”, Schultz exposed Limbaugh’s lies. He started by showing that it is the Republicans who actually attempt to dumb-down students. He provided the example of Texas Republicans who fought to change social studies text books to be more conservative and to omit certain progressive policies and ideals of Thomas Jefferson and other important figures.

Schultz also showed that misinformation is “actually the cornerstone of Republican election strategy.” As an example, he cited the recent Fairleigh Dickinson University study which stated, “Some [media] outlets, especially Fox News, lead people to be even less informed than those who say they don’t watch any news at all.” he then played video clips of Fox News’ Megyn Kelly saying that pepper spray “is a food product” and Sean Hannity claiming that the new health care law contains “death panels.” Most enlightening of all however, was a clip of Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson discussing a theory that “aliens could kill us” if earth does not stop global warming!

Schultz concluded by saying that Fox News viewers are the most uninformed and studies have revealed that 78% of those viewers are Republicans. Consequently, he showed that it is, in fact, the Republican voters who are uninformed.

This should not be news to any of us. Just last week we posted this Fox News chart which suggests that November 2011’s 8.6% unemployment rate is actually higher than the February 2011 8.9% rate and the March 2011 8.8% rate.

It is also informative to note that the non-partisan fact-checking organization known as PolitiFact.com provided this partial list of Fox News misinformation:

Hark The Herald Angels Sing song link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbdvo019mgM

HARK, THE DITTOHEADS DO SING

(sung to the Amy Grant version of “Hark The Herald Angels Sing”)

Hark, the ditto-heads do sing
“Glory to Limbaugh our King!”
On the left he is reviled
Cuz he behaves like a child
On those islands where he flies
With Viagra he does rise
His tired old act is just a game
Intended to bring him fame
Hark, the ditto-heads do sing
“Glory to Limbaugh our King!”

When Rush speaks he only lies
Unlike Beck he does not cry
Rush has an expansive girth
He is shaped like planet earth
Former wives have numbered three
He prefers his Oxy-C
Right-wing drivel he does sell
From his brainless empty shell
Hark, the ditto-heads do sing
“Glory to Limbaugh our King!”

(Viagra-chomping break)

He calls his show the E.I.B.
It’s all about me, me, me
Of his fame, he often sings
While taking credit for all things
Yet, by most he is ignored
Like a little mouse that roared
With nothing beneath his dome
He emits a rabid foam
Hark, the ditto-heads do sing
“Glory to Limbaugh our King!”

Rush Limbaugh Is Now Irrelevant

Does anybody pay attention to Rush Limbaugh any longer? His appearances are as rare as the Do-Do Bird on television and in the written media. Seldom does anyone even bother to quote what he has said. Indeed, in Boston at least, his radio program no longer even airs on any of the top three talk radio stations. it would appear that Rush Limbaugh is now irrelevant.

There is good reason for this. Take for example, his latest insane rant about union leader Jimmy Hoffa’s statement that Republicans should be voted out of office in the next election. Limbaugh, took Hoffa’s quote out of context (as he always does) and suggested that Hoffa incited violence against the GOP because he used the phrase “take out these sons of bitches.” But this is what Hoffa said in its entirety:

“Everybody here has a vote. If we go back and we keep the eye on the prize. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to America where we belong.”

It is obvious that that Hoffa was not inciting violence. he qualified the “take these sons of bitches out” remark with the preceding statement that “everybody here has a vote.”  Hence, it is obvious that Hoffa is inciting the crowd to vote the GOP out of office and not to kill them.

Limbaugh however, is incapable of telling the truth. He seems to take pride in misinforming his uneducated audience so as to spread as much vile propaganda as possible. In fact, he was not satisfied with simply taking Hoffa’s statement out of context. He felt the need to also concoct a completely unsubstantiated and foolish conspiracy theory as well.

On Tuesday’s radio show Limbaugh came up with this doozy while commenting on the fact that President Obama has not bothered to address Hoffa’s comment:

“How do we know that Obama did not [suggest] it to Hoffa? He basically praised him! Obama wrote it for Hoffa! Who the hell do you think is inspiring these sons-of bitches anyway?”

Really? Limbaugh believes that “Obama wrote it for Hoffa”! Did he provide any substantiation for this assertion? Of course not, because there is none. This is simply another example of Limbaugh grasping for straws in such a manner that he looks like an idiot. This is also another reason why Limbaugh is no longer taken seriously by very many serious people.

We really should not be surprised by his ignorance. Limbaugh of course,  is not a very well educated man. He flunked out of Southeast Missouri State University after only two semesters and one summer session. To date, he has no college degree. As evidence of his lack of commitment and self control, he has also been married four times and is an admitted drug addict.

Limbaugh is also a blatant racist. He resigned under pressure in 2003 after only a very brief stint co-hosting ESPN‘s “Sunday NFL Countdown” after he claimed that quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed. (BTW, McNabb is still playing professional football). The examples of Limbaugh’s racism go on and on but we will leave the rest of his past offenses for another time.

Rush Limbaugh is now a modern day Lonesome Rhodes (Google it). If you can’t wait, just watch this:

TALKING TURD

(sung to the Carly Simon/James Taylor song “Mockingbird”)

Talk (yeah) ing (yeah) turd (yeah)
Yeah (yeah)
Talking Turd

Now, everybody sure has heard
Rush Limbaugh the big fat talking turd
That loudmouth talking turd is king
Of all those racists in the right-wing
But those in the right-wing front line
Are busy planning for their next hate crime
And that’s why I keep on tellin’ everybody
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

Hear me now and understand
Rush lives only to hate and malign
And if ratings decline someday
Limbaugh will spread hate in another way
And if that other way makes dough
He’ll ride with the tide and go with the flow
And that’s why I keep on shoutin’ in your ear
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

(Oxy Contin Break)

Now, everyone should doubt his word
Rush Limbaugh is just a talking turd
And when that talking turd does sing
We can tell he’s just a ding-a-ling
And when that ding-a-ling just whines
Yes, Republicans will still think he shines
And there’s a reason why I keep on tellin’ everybody
Say yeah, yeah no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

Listen now and understand
Rush Limbaugh surely has lost his mind
And though he drugged his mind away
The right-wing nuts still listen everyday
Like Sarah Palin and that Plumber, Joe
He’s a dead fish that just “goes with the flow”
And that’s the reason why he keeps on spreadin’ all that fear
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, now, now, baby

Fox Favorites Bachmann and Paul Duck Debt Ceiling Crisis

Dr. No and the Gay-Basher

How many times have Republican politicians and conservative pundits criticized President Barack Obama for going on official business trips when they claim he should be back at home addressing the problems in Washington DC? Despite the fact that Obama and George W. Bush have made virtually the same number of overseas trips during the same amount of days that they have occupied the Oval Office, the right criticizes Obama while they were silent about Bush.

Whenever Obama takes a vacation, he is maligned by the right for shirking his duty. Fox News’ Monica Crowley has gone so far as to say,

“He’s actually shoehorning the job of the presidency into his busy schedule of going on vacation, listening to the comic stylings of George Lopez, swaying to Paul McCartney, playing golf, shooting hoops, taking smokes. What else is this guy doing? Is he ever working? Obama is taking a vacation every five minutes. He’s blowing off steam almost every day….he is got partying going on. He’s at the Nationals game.”

The facts however, prove that Fox News is lying. In fact, Politicususa.com has shown that George W. Bush “spent 1,020 days of his presidency on vacation. To put this into context, John F. Kennedy spent fewer days in office, 1000, than George W. Bush spent on vacation. Bush spent 487 days at Camp David, 490 days at his Crawford ranch, and 43 days in Kennebunkport. George W. Bush spent 69 days in Crawford during his first year in office. In contrast, according to FactCheck.org, Obama spent all, or part of, 26 days of his first year in office on vacation. This was less than all three previous Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush.” Anyone surprised that Fox News would misinform its audience?

Today we have learned that President Barack Obama has cancelled all of his scheduled fundraising appearances so that he may devote himself to the debt ceiling crisis and negotiations. Meanwhile, fierce Obama critics, moonbat-crazy Rep. Michele Bachmann and Rep. Ron “Dr. No” Paul will be attending fundraising trips for their presidential campaigns in Iowa. So, while the President of the United States has elected to address the nation’s most pressing issue, two of his wannabe Republican presidential opponents are shirking their duties as members of the nation’s House of Representatives so as to further than own political careers. How is that for patriotism?

Will Rush “Drug Addict” Limbaugh, Glenn “Rodeo Clown” Beck, Ann “The Man” Coulter or anyone on the Fox Misinformation Network even make mention of the fact that Bachmann and Paul have fled Washington during debt ceiling negotiations? Lynnrockets is willing to wager a lobster dinner that not one of them utters a peep on the subject. Any takers?

While we await a response to that offer, shall we entertain ourselves with a Blackjack hand’s worth of the many examples of misinformation proffered by Fox News as confirmed by PolitiFact.com and reported by Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show”:

  1. Fox said less than 10% of Obama’s Cabinet appointees have worked in the private sector. – False

(sung to the Cream song “Strange Brew”)

Strange crew

And will Bill O’Reilly go back on “The View”
No clue
And what will Glenn Beck do?

Strange crew
They’ve got there at Fox News

There’s a long-faced sullen man that’s named Brit Hume
And a blonde-haired guy named Ann Coulter, too
Pee-you
That’s just to name a few

Strange crew
They’ve got there at Fox News

(Misinformation break)

They have a dumb Alaskan known as Sarah P.
And a weekend wimp named Mike Huckabee
Good Lord
Could they be more abhorred?

Strange crew
They’ve got there at Fox News

Strange crew, strange crew
Strange crew, strange crew

Strange crew
They’ve got there at Fox News

STRANGE ONES ON THE RIGHT

(sung to the Frank Sinatra song “Strangers In The Night”)

Strange ones on the right,
Fox News romancers
Not so very bright,
With our finances
This Tea Party love
Should be viewed as taboo

Palin shouting lies
And fear inciting
Rand Paul is hostile
And so damn frightening
Boehner has no heart
McConnell has no clue

Strange ones on the right,
Abnormal people
They are strange ones on the right
Not one sane moment
They should be in a freak-show
Little do they know
It would just enhance our day
If like Bristol they’d dance away and –

And on Fox every night,
They’re all together
Lovers on the right
In love forever
It’s an ugly sight
Those strange ones on the right

(Tea-Bagging break)

Don’t look now just glance away
Here comes their jailbird Tom Delay

You can join their fight
And hang together
Only if you’re white
Birds of a feather
Taking their last flight
Those strange ones on the right
