Most Americans Dislike Sarah Palin (And The Number Is Growing) – Updated

The only poll favorable to Palin

CNN reports that a new survey by Gallup suggests most Americans (52 percent) now hold a negative view of Sarah Palin. It is the highest unfavorable rating that the former ex-quitting half-term Governor of Alaska has ever registered. Furthermore, her 40 percent favorable rating is her lowest score in Gallup history. Palin lost her biggest chunk of support among independent voters – the voting bloc that was crucial in handing Republicans so many victories in the recent mid-term elections. Her favorability among independents has dropped 8 percentage points since last summer to only 35 percent. The survey was conducted from November 4th through 7th.

In contrast to Palin’s falling numbers, President Barack Obama is improving in the polls. The most recent Gallup poll reveals that Obama has a 47% approval rating. That number is 4 percentage points higher than his rating just prior to the mid-term elections. His disapproval rating is 46%.

Hence, despite popular belief, President Obama is actually faring better than Sarah Palin at the present time. He is more popular than Sarah Palin despite her recent surge in exposure resulting from her reality television show and the release of her new book. Sarah Palin is fast becoming yesterday’s favorite flavor.

The newest addition of people that dislike Sarah Palin is Fox News, believe it or not! Watch this commercial break caught on tape.

Will Fox be able to withstand the wrath of the Palinbots?

In honor of the troops, please click on the song link below to familiarize yourselves with the tune and to have more fun singing along with today’s song parody.

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Poll Slide

Keep movin’, movin’, movin’
People disapprovin’
Sarah’s not improvin’, Poll-Slide!
She cannot understand ‘em,
She hopes results are random,
Soon she’ll be in a double-wide.
There’s no way of definin’
Just why the polls declinin’, declinin’ like a massive

Headin’ down, movin’ fast,
Losin’ ground, ship her out,
Headin’ down, movin’ fast
Kick her out,  shoot her down,
Send her home, push her out,
Kick her butt, fallin’ fast

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Her eyeballs are ballin’
How come no-one’s callin’?
It looks like stormy weather
And she’s light like a feather
She’ll be swept under by the tide.
She’ll be unemployed soon,
A wolf killin’ buffoon,
And all this resultin’ from her lies

Headin’ down, movin’ fast,
Losin’ ground, ship her out,
Headin’ down, movin’ fast
Kick her out,  shoot her down,
Send her home, push her out,
Kick her butt, fallin’ fast

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’

  1. Have always loved this version of this song. Glad to see the numbers dropping on this Grifting Grandma.

    • “Fallin’, Fallin’, Fallin'”

      • From Palingates:
UPDATE:Our reader Esme Reutov found a DEVASTATING review of Sarah’s show in the Boston Herald, by a (former) Palin supporter:
Sarah Palin has officially “jumped the shark.”

Last night’s premier of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” will be remembered as the moment the once-promising, conservative darling crossed over into the absurd.Part Alaska tourism promo, part window into the family Palin, TLC’s eight-part series features clips of the former governor at home in gym shorts and shots of the family enjoying the great outdoors while she calls out folksy comments like, “this is flippin’ fun!”

If that’s not enough, Palin takes Kate Gosselin (of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” fame) camping in the Alaska wilderness – the two women reportedly didn’t get along (Kate, it seems, is a bit of an indoor cat).

Conduct unbecoming a former governor and vice presidential candidate? You betcha!

Now that’s not an easy thing for me to say. Believe it or not, in 2008 I was one of Sarah Palin’s biggest fans – “pitbull” bumper sticker and all. When John McCain selected Palin as his running mate, the decision seemed brilliant. Palin was a conservative, a reformer and an outsider. But her appeal was more than political. She was “cool,” yet grounded; tough, but feminine. Palin was a game-changer.

Right on cue, liberals set out to destroy the plain-spoken populist, whose candidacy undermined their tired portrayal of Republicans as a cabal of rich, out-of-touch white men. They called her unqualified – although she was more experienced than John Edwards in 2004, and arguably more experienced than Barack Obama himself in 2008.

The attacks on Palin reeked of a pernicious double standard and an intellectual elitism that made the mama grizzly in me roar.

I defended her everywhere – in the media, in board meetings and on the sidelines of my children’s soccer games.

Even after the election, my support remained steadfast. Palin had carried herself with dignity in the face of vicious personal attacks, and she had more than held her own against career politicians like Joe Biden and “gotcha” journalists like Charlie Gibson.

I looked forward to watching her star continue to rise. I expected big things from her – serious things from her – in the future.

What a difference two years make.(…)

Don’t get me wrong. As a conservative, I still support many of Palin’s policy views. And as a celebrity gossip hound, I might just keep watching her show. But vote for her? At this point, I might as well vote for Snooki.

Now that would be “flippin’ fun!”
Jennifer C. Braceras is a lawyer and a former Palinista.

      • It is curious that the Boston Herald (Enquirer)would even print that review inasmuch as the tabloid rag is a conservative cheerleader. It is also a very poor example of a newspaper in comparison to Boston’s paper of record, The Boston Globe.

There were other $P ones in the Herald, but this is the one excerpted above.

I liked the Globe critique you highlighted here a few days ago.

  2. Joy Behar is blasting the show and the “I won’t quit” quote right now on “The View”. Hasselbeck of course, say’s that she is so proud of Sarah for having the guts to go out in the wilderness. That is laughable in that Hasselbeck herself gained stardom as being on the reality show “Survivor”. Isn’t “Survivor” filmed in the wilderness? At least Sarah gets to go home and sleep in her own bed at night. Hasselbeck allegedly slept on a bed of leaves in the wild. Or, did she?

    • That’s where that bleached-blond bimbo is from, Survivor?

I’d rather see $P and EH run across the freeway in So Cal when traffic was moving, a la Eddie Murphy in Bowfinger. Now that I would watch.

  3. I can see Iran from my house

The grifter’s fate was sealed once her neocon mentor, Bill “I’m always wrong” Kristol, announced that quitting could be a shrewd gamble -one he wouldn’t bet against.

  4. Watched Mark Twain Humor Award to Tina Fey last night. Lots of great lines, one by Lorne Michaels:

“Too bad [President Obama] isn’t here or even in town because he would have enjoyed tonight’s theme of very intelligent people with very low ratings.”

Oh if only Sarah runs! They’ll love her in Iowa, and the Republicans will really freak out. But I think the Rovian wheels may be in motion to bring her down before she gets the chance.

“Lisa Murkowski: Sarah Palin Lacks “Intellectual Curiosity” to be President”

  6. Good one.

  7. Jimmy Kimmel had some funny comments about BP possibly winning DWTS and being unable to dance AND $P’s Flippin’ Alaska. He had a montage of her repeatedly sort of swearing. It’s worth watching if you lynnrocketeers missed it.

  8. Palin fatigue that is what I have. I stopped watching anything with a Palin in it. I can’t take much more. It’s like torture. How much more before this family of grifters finally gets off the public stage. When is the press going to stop covering this liar and her family. You can’t even watch DWTS and the fake dancer who thinks she honestly deserves to win.

“The Learning Channel” has rebranded itself, KFC-style, and the network appears to be in the midst of a deficit-commission-like attempt to gradually cut its genuinely educational content in favor of low-concept gimmickry (Exhibits A and B being “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and “19 Kids & Counting”). Palin, whose level of contempt for learning suggests her entire family was killed in a library collapse, is a perfect fit.

Ah, so the truth comes out with what happened to those two books….

  10. Palin has earned every bit of ill will directed her way, because she thrives on divisiveness. This is a 46-year-old woman who has knowingly chosen this path, and she has shown no political maturing since 2008.
It’s utterly sickening to hear some of her supporters say women dislike her because she is “hot,” as if there weren’t also men who dislike her. Another nugget of “wisdom” is that only “libs” dislike her, when I have read postings from conservatives who are just as turned off. In fact, many of them in Alaska voted for Murkowski over Miller, which is a referendum on Palin herself.
