Palin Plummets In Polls (Again!)

OUCH !!! This is gong to leave a mark. The most recent polls regarding Sarah Palin’s chances for the presidency have been released and once again, it ain’t pretty for Ms. Quittypants. First, the most recent CBS News poll reveals that Palin continues to receive unfavorable ratings from the American public overall. Twenty-four percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of Sarah Palin, while 38 percent view her unfavorably, according to the poll, conducted March 29 through April 1. Thirty-seven percent of the public is undecided or hasn’t heard enough to offer an opinion. Her ratings have held fairly steady over the past year. The CBS poll also demonstrates:

Palin has become a sort of spokesperson for the conservative Tea Party movement. She gave the keynote speech at the first National Tea Party convention this year, and she kicked off a national Tea Party bus tour last month.

Still, 39 percent of conservatives said they were undecided or hadn’t heard enough to have an opinion of Palin, compared with 36 percent who had a favorable view and 23 percent who said they had an unfavorable view of her.

College graduates were also among the demographic groups likely to have a negative view of Palin, the poll found: 52 percent of Americans with a college degree said they had an unfavorable opinion, while 33 percent of those without a degree had an unfavorable opinion. Among both groups, 24 percent had a favorable view.

Geography has some impact, too. While the former Alaska governor receives net negative ratings across all regions of the country, she gets her highest favorable rating from Americans living in the Midwest at 31 percent; her lowest comes from those residing in the Northeast at 18 percent. Men and women have similarly unfavorable views of Sarah Palin.

Some additional bad news came Palin’s way in the straw poll conducted by the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) in New Orleans last week. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney eked out a one-vote victory Saturday in a presidential straw poll at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans. More than 1,800 delegates chose from a list of nine prospective candidates.

Romney, who ran for president in 2008 and skipped the conference, received 439 votes. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who also ran in 2008, finished second with 438 votes. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was a featured speaker at the conference, finished a distant third with 330 votes and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was fourth with 321 votes. The rest of the field trailed far behind.

For Sarah Palin, the straw poll was very disappointing. Despite being present at the conference and quite visible as a featured speaker, she was vanquished in the voting by potential opponents that did not even bother to show up at the event. The reality tv host got a whopping dose of reality.

Poor Sarah, this great nation of ours is quickly tiring of you.

POLL-SLIDE

(sung to the TV theme of, “Rawhide”)

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Poll Slide

Keep movin’, movin’, movin’
People disapprovin’
Sarah’s not improvin’, Poll-Slide!
She cannot understand ‘em,
She hopes results are random,
Soon she’ll be in a double-wide.
There’s no way of definin’
Just why the polls declinin’, declinin’ like a massive
Landslide.

Headin’ down, movin’ fast,
Losin’ ground, ship her out,
Headin’ down, movin’ fast
Poll-Slide!
Kick her out,  shoot her down,
Send her home, push her out,
Kick her butt, fallin’ fast
Poll-Slide!

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Her eyeballs are ballin’
How come no-one’s callin’?
Poll-Slide!
It looks like stormy weather
And she’s light like a feather
She’ll be swept under by the tide.
She’ll be unemployed soon,
A wolf killin’ buffoon,
And all this resultin’ from her lies

Headin’ down, movin’ fast,
Losin’ ground, ship her out,
Headin’ down, movin’ fast
Poll-Slide!
Kick her out,  shoot her down,
Send her home, push her out,
Kick her butt, fallin’ fast
Poll-Slide!

Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Fallin’ Fallin’ Fallin’
Poll Slide

POLL SLIDER

(sung to the War song “Low Rider”)

All my friends know the poll slider
The poll slider is a little liar

The poll slider slips a little lower
Poll slider couldn’t be much slower

Hey!

Poll Slider is facing defeat, yeah
Poll Slider is gonna be beat, yeah

Poll slider is outta gas now
The poll slider is on her ass

Better get a grip, better get a grip
She is not the one to be
Better get a grip, better get a grip
She’s shunned by the G.O.P.

  1. What a great start to Monday! Poll Slide has always cracked me up, now a double feature with Poll Slider! Thanks for the laughs and good news.

  2. poll slider – catchy tune! Boston Herald reporting Scott Brown said thanks but no thanks to attending the Tea Party rally in Boston on Weds with Sarah. Ugh, can’t believe she is going to be in Boston. Quoting from SNL – “Go back to Alaska you gimmick!”

  3. The Palin Paradox

If the grifter hadn’t conned McCain into thinking she might be a suitable VP candidate-and he was desperate, so it wasn’t hard-she wouldn’t be as rich and famous as Paris Hilton. But by now it’s painfully obvious that Palin is a talentless lunkhead!

So she has to keep her hand in politics (many thanks to Hannity for inquiring about the prospect of a presidential run) because as a creature of the reality tv era, she knows she has a past due date.

  4. Love Poll Slider…

My favorite thing is to sing the song in my head, in the voice of the original artist.. LOL

  5. Did you throw any putrid fruit at the rally?
