Have Yourself A Sarah Palin Christmas

The Twelve Days of Christmas Song Parodies continues…

Last week, Sarah Palin once again stated the obvious. After faintly praising President Barack Obama’s Nobel Prize acceptance speech, the former ex-quitting governor of Alaska then said that she would like to see Obama act more like George W. Bush. Of course she would. Anybody planning to run for president would hope that her opponent acted like the worst president in the history of the United States. Actually, here are her exact words:

We’ve learned our lesson from 9/11. George Bush did a great job of reminding Americans every single day that he was in office what that lesson is. And, by the way, I’d like to see President Obama follow more closely in the footsteps of George Bush and [Bush’s] passion keeping the homeland safe, his passion for respecting – honoring our troops.

Is Palin implying that Obama does not have a passion for keeping the homeland safe or that he does not respect or honor our troops? You betcha that is what she is implying. As we just witnessed with her remarks regarding Mike Huckabee’s commutation of Maurice Clemmons’ prison sentence, the woman cannot say a kind word about anybody without thereafter criticizing them. This is all well and good however, because Palin will soon be harshly reminded that most every vile thing that she says is recorded and will come back to haunt her should she ever seek elective office again. Little Miss “Thanks But No Thanks” should have learned that lesson already.

Even funnier, Sarah Palin implied that President Barack Obama either plagiarized her in his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, or that he and she think and communicate in like fashion (as if Obama could speak in Pig Latin). She went so far as to compare one section of the President’s speech regarding the topic of war to a passage in her fictional ghostwritten memoir, Going Rogue. Palin said,

I liked what he said. In fact, I thumbed through my book quickly this morning, saying, ‘Wow, that really sounded familiar,’ I talked in my book, too, about the fallen nature of man and why war is necessary at times, and history’s lessons when it comes to knowing when it is when we engage in warfare. A lot of Americans right now are getting to read my take on when war is necessary.

Give us a break, Sarah. The highly educated and eloquent President has no need to plagiarize you. Do you really think that he has taken the time to read your meaningless book? Don’t flatter yourself. Furthermore, his thought process and yours could not be more different if you were raised on separate planets. By the way Sarah, can you see Earth from your house?

HAVE YOURSELF A SARAH PALIN CHRISTMAS

(sung to the Christmas song “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”)

Sarah Palin is far away
She’s out making some cash
This is Sarah Palin’s pay day
Just how long will it last?

Have yourself a Sarah Palin Christmas
Wink and blink your eyes
Leave the bus
And fly your jet up in the skies

Have yourself a Sarah Palin Christmas
Sign books to get paid
Take that dough
From people that you have betrayed

These are not like the olden days
These are golden days for sure
You don’t have to travel by bus
On your marvelous book tour

Come next year
Things will be even better
You’re the cat’s meow
You’ll still have the SarahPAC as your cash cow
So have yourself a Sarah Palin Christmas now

(These are not like the olden days)
(These are golden days for sure)
You don’t have to travel by bus
On your marvelous book tour

Come next year
Things will be even better
You’re the cat’s meow
You’ll still have the SarahPAC as your cash cow
So have yourself a Sarah Palin Christmas now

  1. NeoCon Sarah

George really did do his best, every day, to keep everybody petrified with fear of an infirm Saudi millionaire hiding out in a dank cave somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Until he admitted it wasn’t a big deal we hadn’t caught him after all. By then, Palin’s mentor, “Joseph the Conqueror” Lieberman, was strutting around some Iraqi marketplace basking in the glory of American exceptionalism.

Now we’re broke. Maybe Palin should thumb quickly through her book to see if there’s any advice on how to get out of this mess!

  2. Did Sarah THUMB THROUGH HER BOOK because she couldn’t remember if the ghost writer put that in? Did she not remember what she “said”? She had to THUMB THROUGH TO READ IT FOR HERSELF. Everything Palin says is utterly stupid….

  3. DEO… think a little about what you say.

I don’t think she was implying plagiarism, nice try though. What your missing here is that Obama’s sounded alot like her in his speech. Just saying… dont be mad. Who would have though Obama would follow in Bush’s footstep in foreign policy? You… I figured as much, its a tough spot he is. When are you going to make fun of him for doing the exact same thing bush did?

    I do like the song

    • What is Obama doing that is “the exact same thing Bush did”? He said all along that he would focus his attention on Afghanistan while removing troops from Iraq. That is exactly the opposite of what Bush did.

I also think DEO was right on.

  4. DEO babbled about palin thumbing through her book.. saying everything she says is utterly stupid.

Can’t there be a little discourse above an elementary level.

Obama has waged the war in the same manner as Bush. True, he is now sending more troops but that isn’t really different from Bush. Bush raised and lowered troop levels there and i’m sure he likes what Obama is doing.

    • I believe DEO was making the point that if Palin had actually written her book (rather than having it ghostwritten), she would not have had to “thumb through it” to see what she had said about the war. She would have remembered what she wrote.

Again, Obama is doing exactly the opposite of Bush. Bush took his eye off of Afghanistan when he foolishly invaded Iraq. Afghanistan was the true home of terrorists (not Iraq) yet Bush failed to increase troop levels there because he had spread the military so thin by sending many, many, many more troops to Iraq. Obama is withdrawing troops from iraq and sending more troops to Afghanistan. These actions could not be more opposite.

  5. Lol… okay lynn.

First off, it is almost unheard of for any politician to actually write their book. So why give palin jazz about it?

second, are you serious? he is doing the opposite of bush? Bush did invade Iraq once Afgan had been secured. There was no need for more troops in there.. shall i site sources for you. Now a few years later, the taliban started coming out of the hills… and bush and his cronies never put together a plan to deal with them. (for very complicated reasons… that wont go away) Obama is not withdrawing troops from Iraq… where do you get that info from?

So once again… there is no opposite, simply a continuing of the same war.

    • The point on the Palin book is that even if she did not write the book herself, she should at least know its content without having to “thumb through it” to refresh her memory about an ideology that she claims is hers.

You claim that Bush invaded Iraq only after Afghanistan was secured. If it in fact was secured by 2003, then why were we still there for the duration of Bush’s term in office? The fact is that it was never secured and more troops were required there all along, but we were unable to put them there because the military was spread too thin as the result of Iraq.

As for Obama’s withdrawing of troops from Iraq, I would suggest that you review the news from June 30, 2009 when all U.S. troops were withdrawn from Iraq cities and towns.

  6. LynnRockets,

Your hatred of Sarah Palin precedes you. What specifically do you have against her? Her religious fervor? Her real life? Her adoration of principled conservative values? Or do you simply nitpick like the rest of the oh so deep liberals who dont even believe in the bias of the MSM, Schools, Unions, etc..
Not the biggest Palin fan, just have the common sense to realize her treatment to be overwhelmingly smug, childish, and unwarranted.

    • Quite simply, Sarah Palin is not well enough educated nor learned enough on policy to be qualified to hold national elective office within the executive branch. She quit only halfway through her only position of executive leadership and quitting is not leading.

  7. is obama not a leader then?
