Palin: Handwriting Leads To Handwringing

PalinLooneyTunes

We intended to post an article about Ann Coulter today in light of his racist remarks last week on television. However, inasmuch as these are the last few days of Sarah Palin’s tenure as Governor of Alaska, let’s declare it “Palin Week” and post nothing but Palin related items. The good Lord knows she makes it easy for us whenever she opens her mouth.

Palin’s latest kerfuffle involves her legal defense fund known as The Alaska Fund Trust. This week an independent investigator has held that  the fund has violated Alaska law because it constituted “personal gain” to the ex governor. Palin responded as follows:

“I find the notion that I have taken any action pertaining to the legal defense trust fund misguided and factually in error… The fund itself was not created by me nor is it controlled by me… In short, I have not ‘acted’ relative to the defense fund and it is misleading to say I have.

The Trustee, Kristan Cole added:

“The first and only time I have spoken with the Governor about the Trust was yesterday to alert her that I was responding to this violation of the law and leak of preliminary and confidential materials from the complainant.”

In short, Governor Palin has disavowed any personal power over the trust and claims that she has taken no action with regard to the trust. Cole, the Trustee, claims that she has only spoken to Palin about the trust on one occasion and that was on the last day or two.

Here is the problem. Palin’s official political action committee, SarahPAC has a website that says this:

Visit The Alaska Fund Trust at www.thealaskafundtrust.com, the official legal defense fund for Governor Sarah Palin and family.

Hence, Palin’s personal and official PAC has been soliciting donations for the legal defense fund while Palin claims that she has not acted on its behalf. Additionally, the language of the trust itself provides Palin with the authority to appoint substitute trustees among other things. Finally, many contributors to the legal defense fund claim to have received handwritten and signed “Thank You” notes from the Governor herself.

Palin has been busy today sending out a number of Twitter tweets to her supporters in an attempt to calm the waters. Just a question, but “when dead fish go with the flow”, does something smell fishy? It does this time.

D’oh, Rockin’ Palin
‘Cause you really said a croc tonight

Every little message, every cryptic thing
Every little word from the ding-a-ling
She threw in the towel, it’s time to go
Flappin’ her lips every so and so

Rockin’ Palin, tweet tweet tweet
Rockin’ Palin, tweet tweetly tweet
D’oh, Rockin’ Palin
‘Cause you really said a croc tonight

(musical interlude)

Petty little Palin that we just can’t stand
Tells her SarahPAC ers to fork out ten grand
She flirted with the devil and lost her soul
Payin’ legal bills through Kristan Cole

She sucks like a freeze pop all day long
Twittin’ and a tweetin’ and singing her song
All of her supporters on C4P
Love to hear their Sarah go tweet tweet tweet

Rockin’ Palin, tweet tweet tweet
Rockin’ Palin, tweet tweetly tweet
D’oh, Rockin’ Palin
‘Cause you really said a croc tonight

Pretty little Palin just can’t understand
No one likes a beggar holding out her hand
Finding new employment is her next big goal
Her next job will involve a stage-mounted pole

She twits from the tree tops all day long
Twittin’ and a tweetin’ and singing her song
All of her supporters on C4P
Love to hear their Sarah go tweet tweet tweet

Lynnrockets, thank you kindly for always keeping a timely song in my heart! I do love a song with snark…

  2. Private citizen, politically incorrect $arah Palin should provide plenty of material in the foreseeable future!

It’s been a very busy week, eh?

  3. Calming the waters

No amount winking and tweeting is going to help Palin’s sinking poll numbers. Even “real” Americans (and Alaskans) aren’t feeling much love for the bailin’ grifter.
